para nako, i-control ang volume, how? na! ang makakita sa kinatibuk-an nga flow/inter-action sa mga karsada maoy makahimo ug plano unsa-on pag control sa volume. Dili man pud puede nga ang gkan sa Cebu city nga moadto sa Mactan island dili na paagi-on sa Mandaue.
Makabantay ko dinha sa reclamation area duol sa SM,CIP, dili ka labang mga truck, naay TEAM nag atang, truck ban tingali...usually gabii ni mahitabo. maglinya mga truck dinha sa kilid...well, volume was controlled in that situation, unya bulhot lahos-lahos dayon mga auto kay walay trucks. The more faster vehicles flow in a road, the faster they reach an intersection, if daghan ang volume, matuk-an gyud ang intersection.

A slight traffic increase on road A, B, C to decongest an always heavily congested road D is acceptable...i-balance lang gud ang utilization sa karsada. ang problema na lang ani nga set-up kay road A, B, C, D do not have the same road parameters(lapad, gamay, daghan eskina, daghan pedestrian, lain-lain ug oras sa congestion, etc)

kanang no left turn pama.agi sa team kay loslos. if they just implement the rules, proper jeepney stop ma solve mana. paogatay man gud ang mga drivers. magpaugat ang public vehicle mo paugat pud ang private. ang jeep mo cross 3 lanes just to get sa side walk to pick up passenger.

Mandaue gets new traffic lights, CCTV

ALL nine major road intersections in Mandaue City now have fully functional traffic lights.

Triune Electronic Systems Inc. turned over the modern traffic lights system to the City Government yesterday, almost eight months after the first set was inaugurated in time for Mandaue’s 44th cityhood anniversary.

Mayor Jonas Cortes, who received a symbolic key from Triune president Peter Ong, announced that the City will soon put up electronic advisory boards that will inform motorists about traffic conditions and display weather advisories.

The P39.9-million traffic lights are equipped with digital timers, sensors and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.

Since the inauguration of the traffic lights, the cameras have captured several road accidents, some of which were shown to reporters and cameramen yesterday.

Ong said Mandaue’s traffic lights system is more advanced than those in other cities, including in Metro Manila, as it uses fiber optics to transmit images to the command center, which means the images travel at the speed of light.

“That’s our edge over other traffic lights system,” Ong told reporters.

Through real-time videos from the CCTV, traffic officials monitor road situations at the Bantay Mandaue 161 Command Center, located beside the City Hall.

“With these traffic lights system, we’re able to monitor the traffic more efficiently,” Cortes said, adding that traffic personnel are now able to do other important tasks instead of just directing traffic at road intersections.

The command center, which can be reached by dialing 161, is manned by personnel from the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue, Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation, Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), Bureau of Fire Protection and the Accident Control and Emergency Rescue Team.

Supt. Crisaleo Tolentino, deputy director for operations of MCPO, said the surveillance cameras will help the police track down criminals and gather evidence.

The traffic monitoring system, he pointed out, will also aid the police during the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit next year, with caravans of delegates expected to pass through Mandaue.

so base sa imong post, you agree nga wala jud asenso ang traffic situation sa Mandaue?

Some things nga pwde mabuhat sa Mandaue and the rest of the Philippines para matarong atong Traffic and Public Transportation (But please note that I am no expert, these things will need to be further researched. I was able to make this comment based on the systems of the Countries I have visited and lived in nga pwde nato ma implement diri sa Pilipinas)

-No more multicabs, better option is we utilize bus that are both privately and government owned. ang size sa multicab and number sa tao nga ma-accommodate in a given time is very impractical, dili siya space saving sa karsada which then causes congestion. I know daghan mawagtangan trabaho nga driver, but that is for another topic na.
-proper training/seminars to be given to professional drivers, usa sa mga rason sige ang traffic kay ang mga PUV drivers pataka lang ug urong and paugat kau not knowing nga usa ka butang ilang gibuhat, naay butterfly effect sa unahan; we would also need to educate the public para makat-on pud ta ug lakaw padulong sa jeepney stop, ang hilig gud nato kay gusto nato inig gawas nato sa pultahan sa atong balay or gate sa subdivision, naa dayon mo urong nga sakyanan.
-we need to improve the public transportation, if comfortable na ang atong public transpo, i don't think modala pa ka ug auto para mo biyahe, I for one wala mogamit ug auto sa Singapore kay comfortable kau ang public transpo (di ko ka afford sakyanan sa Singapore ha, gi offeran ra ko sa among office tagaan ko ug service car for work).
-higher tax for old private vehicles, older vehicles causes pollution which then causes stressful public transportation experience (among OTHER things), ang tax nga makuha ani magamit pagpanindot sa karsada and sa public transpo nato, but then again, mag agad na pud ni kung unsa ka korakot ang naa sa seat of richness and power.
-slightly higher tax when purchasing private vehicles, this will discourage the people who only WANTS to buy a car compared from the people who NEEDS to buy a car, and if maayo ang naa sa seat of power, the tax collected can be used to improve the Public Transportation, if comfortable ang atong pagsakay, di na man siguro ta ganahan mo dala sa atong auto.

mao pa na akong mahunahunaan from the top of my head, again, I am no expert, these are based on what I have observed from living in Malaysia and Singapore and my visit to other countries. Naa ra jud na sa atong systema, since di man ta ka usab sa size sa karsada, atong i adjust ang mga mangagi, grabe man gud kau ang impact if for example 3 hours imo ispend sa traffic per day, that means 3 hours ka unproductive sa imong trabaho or negosyo and makapuno pa sa kakapoy sa imong lawas, so mosamot ug ubos imong productivity rate even at a daily basis.

I'm sure daghan mo mahunahunaan pa dira, we just need to let the government know what we think AND we (the public) must also be willing to do our part para manindot na atong lugar, kay kasagaran kutob ra ta istorya raba, maayo kaayo ta mo plano or sweto kaayo ta sa law pero in real life, paugat pud ta. Even ako guilty pud ko ani usahay, mao na I try my best to be a better Filipino.

check pud mo diri usahay if naa moy time, nindot pud ilang ubang mga posts:
