Call center hub for top 500 global firms eyed

The local contact center industry is holding exploratory talks with executives of the world’s top 500 corporations to collaborate on the establishment of a consolidated operations in the Philippines.

This was disclosed yesterday by Call Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) director Raffy David at the press launching of the industry’s biggest conference and exposition to be held from June 20 to 21 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel with this year’s theme “Sustaining the industry’s hypergrowth.”

According to David, the industry is looking at bringing together companies among the top 500 corporations to tap highly-qualified Filipinos who could serve their global contact requirements.

Positioning the Philippines as the contact center choice of the world, is a strategy being initiated by ClientLogic Corp. president Dan Reyes with other members of the CCAP. ClientLogic is one of the fastest growing call center in the country operating at over 7,000 seats.
