heheh nice na da naa nay wallpaper, nya dark sad, ning contrast sa color nga blue, hayahay na sa mata hehehe... although ganahan gihapon ko magtan-aw atong facebook blue coz i think it has a nicer tone.. but all in all nicer nani hehe.. still looking forward atong ma change2 ang color sa theme.. hehe

White background with thread message's font-color #333333 (grayish) and thread title's font-color #2288BB (blueish) is painful to the eyes. Especially when zooming out the browser. Dili clear ang display text nindot unta bro kung dark ang font-color like black, dark blue or etc. kay white man ang background. Complexity is easy, simplicity is hard.

We try to strike a balance without compromising the overall theme. We have 9 more colors to work on.

Wow, i thought forums are FOR the people/users and redesigns are meant to make USER experience BETTER..if you do not listen to user feedback then what is this redesign for? Are you planning to just shove it on the people's faces since daku na kaayu ni ang istorya that you do not care anymore about the people that made you famous in the first place?

Monitors are not calibrated the same, if it hurts our eyes then it hurts our eyes. Obviously it would a LOT easier to tone down the blue a bit than to go to the doctor to have our eyes checked..right? dili ra man kani nga website amo gvisit everyday and they do not hurt our eyes.

If people are complaining then there is something wrong and they are complaining because they still love istorya, if they dont complain then they simply won't care.

I don't think we are trying to shove it up your asses. I appreciate every feedback about the design but I will never appreciate people who think that "they made iSTORYA famous". Dude, you are not the people and you certainly did not make this website what it is now. So stop that crap. More people have liked the way things are than those like you who hate it. I try to strike a balance without compromising the overall scheme. Unless you are blind, you will know and notice that work is being done everyday. If you don't like it, just take a break. If you want to help, leave constructive feedback like the others.

Dili comfortable ang color sa new forum. We come here to enjoy, exchange opinions, buy and sell. I have more than 5 windows opened on two monitors and the only window nga uncomfortable sa aku mata kay ang sa istorya.net. Even when screen brightness is adjusted, dili comfortable. These are our feedbacks and why we say nga hayag ra? Because we define user experience based on our experience.

Now chill lang kung mag ingon mi nga maka hurt, uncomfortable, or hayag ra kaau. Instead of saying nga adto mo sa doctor kay basig daot inyong mata, try to take that as a hint nga maybe there is something not right jud sa UI.

Site appearance is a big factor as to why people visit and register daily. Now I am not saying nga bati. I'm just saying nga hayagan lang ko, I'm not saying nga usbon gyud dayun ang color. Feedback raman gud wala man gud gipugos. If dili gusto nga usbon then I have no problem with that. But maka ingon ko nga ing.ana diay inyo tan.aw sa feedback from each member.

PS: Dili daot akong mata. And I'm correctly describing my experience everytime I'm logged in.

I am sure you are noticing some changes everyday. If you can't wait, take a break and come back after a few days. Like what vern said, either you like it or hate it. I have looked at this through different computers and monitors and they all look fine to me and I spend more hours than anyone looking at this. They don't hurt my eyes and they certainly do not make reading hard for me. If you really want to help, leave constructive feedback and not simply say you hate the blue. I read this thread over and over again and try to come up with the best compromise. It's just not going to happen in an instant.

This is a work in progress and we are working on the other 9 colors. Once everything is finalized, you will be able to choose a theme that at least would please your eyes. Other than that, a couple more updates are coming up.

Did you read what I posted? Does it really hurt your eyes? Don't talk to me about calibration. We no longer live in a world of CRTs where "calibration" is an eye strain issue. The fact it, when people talk about calibration today, they are talking about personal preference ... Super AMOLED VS Retina VS OLED VS LCD VS IPS. Like I said, if your eyes really do start hurting, seek a doctor. That is not normal in modern displays. Get your glasses checked, maybe you are using the wrong perscription. Either way, regardless of color and preference, things should not hurt.

Now do you really believe that we do not listen to user feedback? REALLY bro? ... or do you believe that user feedback means the few who complain ... the few who shout? There are pages and pages of user feedback, many more positive than negative. This goes back to your calibration theory. Yes people complain of their "eyes hurting", but like I asked before, are people describing their experience correctly ... or just expressing an off the cuff comment? Don't delude yourself that all feedback is useful. With so many users, we have to filter the fud from the real issues. This isn't the only website you visit, but how many websites use similar color schemes? Does Windows 8 hurt your eyes?

Like I have said before, if you do not like the design, leave, come back and then see if your experience is actually so bad or if you just needed to get used to it. I assure you, we have not been around so long that we have not seen the same comments before. Yet, with all this talk of calibration, eyes being destroyed, and the end of the world ... people don't complain months later. Be objective. Know that you and the small minority do not represent the majority. Seek medical attention if you need it. The people who run iSTORYA believe it or not are surrounded by technology day in and day out, on many screens, many resolutions, many display technologies ... we are not ignorant of how display technologies work that you can pass big words like "calibration" and expect us to buy it.

Give us good constructive criticism instead of "I don't like the color". That is preference and is not objective. But as has been said, more colors are coming anyway, so take a vacation, come back later.

And finally, as BeoR has already stated, one must be crazy to think that iSTORYA is solely the creation of it's users. Yes, we appreciate the users, but do you realize how many sites have come and gone since iSTORYA has been around? How many times have they tried to "steal" our users? How many times have they criticized us, our way of doing things, and our rules? They forget that those are what keeps us running. Thank you for participating in iSTORYA, but give credit where credit is due. We never ask for a thank you. We never seek credit. We never flaunt our accomplishments as apparent as it is. We always share our success with the users. We know what we have accomplished and keep the pride to ourselves. You do not have to give us any credit, but saying we deserve none is very, very self righteous of any user who thinks we deserve none.

don't know what erred others but i find the new theme 'arousing' xD

viewed using non-calibrated old CRT & LCDs at home, and calibrated LCDs & IPS in the office, no problem at all; overall looks livelier compared before. and blue is cool feel to the eyes.

nice upgrade ge! keep them coming. bangka ^_^

the overall theme looks modern, but i think the logo of istorya needs to rebrand itself to go along with the theme, the logo looks outdated and a mismatch
