==Petron engineers explained that motorists who use LPG will also earn savings from reduced maintenance cost of their vehicles. According to Wilfredo Toledo, Petron’s Technical Department manager, using LPG will result in longer maintenance intervals such as oil changes and tune-ups as LPG has less contaminants, has only minute traces of sulfur, has low carbon content and no lead, leaving engine parts much cleaner and with less wear.==

that is true but they did not include the high heat that is being produce due to combustion using LPG , a system using LPG needs a good cooling system.

As of now, we should be vigilant with the oil price increases. We would not want these oil companies to abuse the situation that the price of oil in the world market is increasing especially now that the countries have less supply for oil. Eventually, there would be shortages that could account for further increases of oil prices.

The real solution for this is for our country to be independent in terms of finding energy resources. As of now, we are finding ways and means for alternative energy resources. The government has also sought help from countries rich in oil such as Libya and Saudi Arabia when the president visited on such countries. Only then can we have a real solution for the oil price increases.

    Riko,

I guess the best thing government can do is to finance a lot of our filipino inventors who have good plans for us. Naa man mga nag invent ug mga machines that dont run on fuel. mga alternative sources of energy. naka-pait lang ani ato gobyerno naa mga vested interest ang mga naa sa posisyon ug ang mga dagko na companies na nag negosyo sa fuel mao ni lobby against ani na plans for cheap source of alternative energy.

Passing the energy- independence bill could very well help in our campaign to find ways amidst the continuous increase in the price of oil. Hopefully, our senators could find their ways to approve the bill as the world is dealing with energy crisis right now.

In a recent study made by Petron, they found that motorists, with a car powered by a 1600cc engine, who travel an average of 50 kilometers a day can save P50 daily, or P1 per kilometer traveled. In effect, the savings would relate to P350 per week or P18,200 a year.
