mura man ug daghan kaayo ngari nga thread mga anti-gloria, hehe, i hope you will have a chance to see her in personal, ask your questions from her, maybe... opinions will change ... let us not form our conceptions or misconceptions just because this wirter is writing this or that article or, a politician is saying this or that .. for a simple man on the street who benefited from this government for its many good programs, this presisdent is seen as okay; for one who is not always satisfied with anything, no matter what the president does, it is always held a suspect ... there will be elections, mind you, and if anyone here would want to run an elective post, it is the best time to build image and support base .. martial law is a wild fantasy of those who are always against this administration ... too bad, many people pick this up as truth! we are men and women of intellect ... let us be reasonable.

i know what u r going into. that still doesn't justify it. u r playing with words as if u r playing with people's lives here.

pick up any news article or links that signify nga ga duwa2x ra ang conflict sa mindanao.

if u say it's because daghan kau maamong ug mangamatay nga civilian, well, did u ever see the Abu Sayyaf or rogue MILF mangitag hawan para makig gubat sa AFP? LOLs

in fact, they engage in civilian communities and even shield themselves using civilians!!! dili na cla mamili ug lugar pre ma naay civilian or wala.

but look at what is happening.. i mean why this is happening.. tungod sa 'war games' sa mga military ug rebelde..

kung tinud-anay pa nang pag-eliminate sa mga militar, ug ang pag-sukol sa mga rebelde,
adto sila sa kabukiran nga wla lain taw.. atake whenever..

i mean, until now? banga-a gyud diay sa mga military gud.. sayang ang taxes..
again, pls don't play with words as if u r also playing with lives here. and let me just make a correction: ang rebelde man ang dili mamili sa lugar sa atake, not our AFP.

kanang gubat sa mindanao mare, panahon pana ni mampur, ni Magsaysay or even the time before him pa gani tingali. Marcos didn't even solve it, Ramos too. even the US colony sauna wala gani kasulbad ana.

ang solution sa Mindanao conflict/rebellion/terrorism cannot be solved by swords and guns alone. it has to be won in the heart and mind too.

Solving the conflict is not a one-shot deal but a continuing campaign even for our future presidents...

It cannot be totally eliminated but only minimized. just like the fight against illegal drugs and piracy.

as for the communism issue, i will just leave these notes:

" You do not kill Communism with the sword and gun alone.
Communism is an idea. When a man in a rice paddy with a
hungry belly, working on land which is not his - in debt,
and his children hungry too - when a man in that position
hears somebody say: 'The land belongs to the man who
works it - come with us and we will give it to you!' then
my friend, something happens. To that man, it is a cool
wind blowing through a hell on earth."
    - Ramon Magsaysay in 1953

"I know now from experience that the nationalism of
the Communists is indeed opportunism, and that they use it
for their own ends. Any nationalist who makes an ally of
the Communist is going for a ride on a tiger. We must
learn from our lessons in the past, and this is one that
nationalists need to remember today, when once again the
Communists are trying to use them."
    - Former Huk leader Luis Taruc in He Who Rides the
the Tiger: The Story of an Asian Guerilla Leader

    now back to the topic...

    >> hahahaha.. nalingaw gyud ko nimo.. WE are not playing with people's lives.. it's THEM..
    >> ngano man pd ilang ibutang sa news ilang ka-boang? even if naa sa opinions section, ang author tirahon ana... another unjust killing..

diin man diay na gikan si Ramos? naa baya to'y rango sa militar...

    >> dili bitaw overnight ang solution anang ilang kaboang..
    >> dili man klaro ang imong gisulti.. "cannot be solved by swords and guns ALONE" nya "it HAS to be won in the heart and mind"? unsa man jud true ani?
    >> uso pa diay nang heart ang mind ron? if ur saying dili ma-solve ang terrorism with guns, all the more nga dili ma-solutionan kung gamit heart and mind.. kung mao na, ma-dala ra diay ug peace talks. nya successful ba?
