naa untay community-based credit union sa kada municipality or, kung di gani sa kada municipality (because that's probably asking too much), so every other municipality nalang kaha. nya kanang mga local-level nga credit union-na, dinha mag-open ug savings account ang mga residente--bisan gud ug unsa ka-ginagmay--basta lang naay gamay kwarta nga ma-save ang halos tanang residents. then kanang kwartaha sa credit union, mao sad nay mu-provide ug low-interest loans sa ubang residents nga magplano ug negosyo--and again, bisan lang gud ug ginagmay lang, basta lang makasugod ug negosyo ang may gusto. then kung mu-succeed sila, pwede na nila padak-on ang ila negosyo, etc.

While I agree on your point that savings is indeed a way towards financial freedom, it is also a terrible reality that most of the employed (estimated between 60-70% of the working class) are earning lesser than their survival rate.

To stress my point, if you are a married individual with 1 kid earning 15,000 monthly (gross), you will have the follwing expenses:

    House rental/ ammortization- P3,000
    Taxes - P1,500
    SSS/Medicare/Pag-ibig P500
    Utillities- P800
    Rice- P500
    Fare daily- P600
    Groceries- P3,000
    Baby's Milk- P2,500
    Diapers- P500
    Gasul- P600-
    Recreation- P500
    Load- P500
    Telephone- P500-
    Clothing- P500
    Medicines/Check-up- P500
Tabang pa ka sa imu mama/papa- P1000-P1500 or more

It is barely enough and no fund for emergencies pa.

    Default Ikaw mismo

Ikaw Mismo o Kita mismo ang mo lihok yaw ug huna hunaa nga naa patay gobyerno nga kaduolan, mo lihok tang tanan aron mo asenso, i came from a poor family, my father and mother came from a family of farmers, wala sila ka human ug skwela, but bisan pa sa kalisod i never heard them blaming the government or kinsa nga government officials, they work to death, and im proud to say nga tanan 3 nla ka anak (including me) are all professionals nah, me an engineer, my sister registered nurse (now shes in UK), and our youngest a civil engineer. now if only all parents in the country is like mine (proud son) mo asenso jud ni nga nasud, bisan pa siguro walay presidente!

To answer the question: "How to Stop or Solve Poverty in the Pilippines"
My answer is: Do your Part "Ikaw Mismo"

very well said. u deserve a pat in the back. ur parents deserve shud have been emulated by those who blame somebody or something else for their failure!

yes, fast population growth is another factor why we can't make our country economically developed because our taxes, aside from being blatantly robbed by our corrupt public officials, are spent on basic public infrastructures for our surging population.

imagine a jeepney driver who is the sole breadwinner in the family and has 9 children. in contrast a husband who is an IT Engineer and works for a big company and his wife, an office worker choose to have one child. they earn almost six times more than the driver. now look if they were nations.
