Fundamentally its a religion of Violence

Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you."

Quran (2:244) - "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."

Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".

These teachings are too radical for some Muslims, so they selectively obey their book and live peacefully but they are less preferred by Allah and cannot inherit "paradise" as a reward.

Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame, etc.), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their lives above those who sit (at home).Unto each, Allah has promised good (Paradise), but Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward "

This passage criticizes "peaceful" Muslims who do not join in the violence, letting them know that they are less worthy in Allah's eyes.

ok - to those people who are in cebu who is against islam - please tell your children to go to school even if it's close, just let them stay near the gates. and to those who's company declared it a no-work-day on monday - please, go to your work place. do that so you won't be called a hypocrite.

coz eid al-adha is a muslim holiday - it's not for you.

This Muslim holiday has been legislated as civil law, so as law abiding citizens we are restricted and we need to adhere to this civil law. Nothing to do with religion or celebrating Mulsim Holiday.

I was there in the middle east before,
quite not sure if they want the male or the female kind.

Seriously, why kill in the name of their god and salvation,
why not try converting the suppose infidels through their suppose divine words?
if they could sway their belief towards that way then I could say peace within their faith can be reached.

Every sort of religion comes and dressed in the name of peace..... that is .... REST IN PEACE

Furthermore, they will tell you their own versions of heaven, paradise, salvation and martyrdom. when you die carryng their crusade, legacy, belief and all the old tall tale craps stated in their "book".

So, does a certain religion bring along peace to living mankind? hell no.... because conflict and personal interest is inevitable...... both within the organization and against another religion.
