As far as I know the "nightshot" feature was available in Sony's Cybershot V (1,2,&3) and F series (707,717,&82
This "nightvision" technology switches the camera to infrared mode and has a built in IR emitter for focusing,
framing, and shooting in complete darkness... albeit images come out in an erie green glow.
In normal light, the "nightshot" feature turns the Sony sensor to the equivalent of an IR film... recording
infrared light instead of visable light.
Here are some of my attempts...
Here's a leaf on the grass in visable light...
...and again in infrared...
plants reflect infrared so they appear nearly white in the photos (skin would really glow in IR)
while things that absorb infrared appear dark.
but Sony intentionally crippled this feature so it won't work in manual exposure...
only in full auto.. and even then shutter speeds are at the slow end so photos come out
overexposed in normal light... hence the need for ND filters.
the reason for this is that IR has a tendancy to penetrate thin clothing giving one an
"x-rated x-ray vision" of what someone is wearing... or not wearing underneath.
yup thats wat i like in IR effect to the tree and plants they glow like neon hehee maybe cuz of the heat that turns into a highlight
i just use a cutout old diskette hehehe...works great on my 717 hehehe!Originally Posted by abortretryfail

When I was walking around Ayala Center Cebu, I saw a lot of people gathered at Charles & Kieth. Due to my curiosity, I went close for a look. I asked one guy, "What's going on?". He answered, "There's an actress / model." I replied, "That chick you mean? who is she?". "You know, Francine? Francine Prieto?", the man said. Actually, he told me a lot about her, Bench model, sexy star, etc. Honestly? I don't know her, UNTIL TODAY! Am I still living in this country or what?
Good thing I always bring with me my camera with my walk around lens (70-200). I took a few candid shots, while Francine was busy posing and smiling with fans shooting pictures using their phone cams and some point & shoots.
Until the security guard told me to move in closer, so i got in and start aiming my gun. Looking through my viewfinder, she saw me by surprise with an SLR (good thing i brought one). She did a few poses with her dazzling smiles. Oh well, here's one for you guys.
Did I spell her name correctly?
