Convergys now 3-0 in BPO caging

CEBU, Philippines – The red-hot Convergys coasted to its third straight victory with a 57-50 bashing of Qualfon, 57-50, in the 5th Inter-BPO Basketball Championships at the City Sports Club–Cebu gym.
Venerando de la Peña, Jr. and Kristian Tapic powered Convergys with 29 points combined.
Jopher Regidor topped Qualfon with 18 markers, while Benjamin John Sanchez and Ryan Ignacio connived for 20 points in a losing cause.
E-Telecare Global Solutions, on the other hand, had to pass through some scary moments before getting past ICT Group, 55-53.
Geneking Mercader led the way for E-Telecare with 15 points, while Roderick Mangubat and Jonathan Burgos added 19 points.
Jomie Mendez was the double-digit scorer for ICT with 17 points.
Meanwhile, Wipro improved its win-loss record to 2-1 after pummeling the listless Calltek, 60-52, in the second game.
Ronald Canoy topscored for Wipro with 18 markers. Mark Louise Gellez paced Calltek with 15 points.
