DUgay nako cge bisana diri sa issue and my only takes are :

- We should give her the benefit of the doubt .
- Yes if even if it takes her to take SPEECH CLASSES , so be it but that doesnt justify anyhing that she is all beauty and no brains .
- I agree with the CRAB MENTALITY issue , PINOY and PINAY gyud ! Instead of pushing them up , we are pulling her down of her accomplishments .
- Let her do her thing and lets do ours . Kung mao na hitabo-a di mo naka-uyon , kamo na lang unta ang nangapil sa contest or better kamo na lang ga organize and be the judge also .
- The verdict is , I am supporting her all the way . She may not know it or feel it but I am for her accomplishments . Let her prove herself in the next contest .

I have a couple of questions though ...

1. Who do you guys think should have won instead of her kay nagkapuliki siya sa english niya ?
2. Is ENGLISH really that of a big deal when in fact the event was even named in our language " BINIBINING PILIPINAS " ?

"responsibility"...yes of course. but it's more of the "organizer's responsibility" during the selection process, not the contestant. and for the contestant, that word is more apt once u get the crown, not before or during the contest.

It's not the organizers who will join Miss World Pageant so Ms. San Miguel also has the responsibility to be able to represent the country well.

i wasn't being "loose" and i didn't name names. i was pointing to the general crab mentality attitude of pinoys. those lines "i insist" and "if u don't wanna agree, fine"...it doesn't mean arrogance. i was just being firm on my stance while respecting others' disagreement to my opinion...

what i pointed out about pinoy's crab mentality on this issue is that some don't just satisfy themselves giving first-reaction ridicule to that poor girl. instead, they continue to ridicule her more and more even up to now and have shown not one iota of compassion or kaluoy lang gyud...hilasan gyud ko aning klaseha sa mga tawo. or basin ga sour-grape lang na...murag mga korek...

it's been roughly 57 years since the start of this pageant but until now NO Filipina has ever won the crown as Ms. World, does it really matter that this lady represents the country this year? I just find it funny how people in this forum look down on her. let's admit it, this so called "brain" of yours will only have a chance at the Q&A portion once you get past all the rest of the criteria. pass the beauty part first before you make it to the top 10 or better yet pass the stringent criteria of getting a crack at the Bb Pilipinas pageant first before you make this criticism of this lady.

when can we admit and come into a realization that we as a race are not "world class" as far as beauty is concerned?
