AFAIK, on the previous thread, @KE-25 was asking who started the fantasy league here cuz I think he want one of those commissioners to manage this prized fantasy league. IMO, I don't think it would affect the existing leagues especially the keepers, it's just this new fantasy league proposed by KE has a guaranteed prize for the winner/s courtesy of this forum. Looks like now he's open on just joining to someone's league instead. Hmmm ...

I think it's up to the commissioner's discretion to let someone join. If some forumer wishes to join but they rarely participate in the forum, that could be an indicator that they will likely won't update his/her roster on a daily or weekly basis. You're right, screening should be mandatory and it's up to the commissioner or founder's discretion to let someone join or not.

FAQ, To clarify , i'm fine either way (just joining or help run it) but with prize i'll come up with something , i'll speak to Beor if we can do a special account for winner , if not , then i'll look for something interesting. If u guys want to up the anti with more prizes it would be great. The Notion i don't want to create is were swooping in and taking over , that was never the intent , hence I said i could just join and you guys run it. Anyway , lets wait for whoever started Fantasy in Istorya , and hear him out. In the meantime , we have a list going , we know who is interested , how many players are joining , to properly plan this thing.

It's actually a minor concern that's been addressed properly.. Thank you for that @KE-25.. @lunateec22's been running the current istorya league smoothly for 2yrs already, that's why im lobbying for him to have a say and it'd be better for me to let him address on what you have proposed.. After ironing everything out then all of us can forego w/ whatever decision everyone has come up..

just wanna remind everyone that there are non-istoryan managers as well during the previous leagues, at least 50% in each league if i'm not mistaken. with that said, i doubt we would be able to complete at least 2 leagues with 16 active all istoryan managers, let's just wait and see though.

so we have to create as like to @KE-25 for exclusive active istoryan league that has been proposed by him? yep sa mga leagues ako na.apilan, some of the GM are not istoryan as @ManWhore has stated kay taud2 na sila nakajoin ug ako Kay 2 years pa ata.

How about we have a monetary deposit? Like 2000 pesos. If you are deemed inactice kay dili na e.uli hehe. Just a thought. Ive been asking you guys to let me join for years now. I am a pretty active player. Well, ingon akong asawa boang daw sa fantasy haha. That is why last year, i watched all 82 games of GSW and WW kay i had wall, beal and iggy. So there. Kamo lang decide if pwede ko muapil. Thanks

You bring up a good point , do we want all istoryans in league , those who are active in posting here or do we want non istoryans to join as well , nothing against the latter but id rather play with people I know.

Another idea , is once we all decide on how we do this league , para we don't have communication challenges , lets open a whatsapp channel for this league with all players registered in there , para if there are notices , questions , follow ups we can easily get a hold of you.

On to money , personally its a great motivator and helps deter people from being non active , but one thing I've learned unless close ang group is it could cause issues. Who holds the funds , questions , collection so on ... I'd like to help build a League where in people would really want to play kay challenging with that certain exclusivity of winning against great fantasy players. I think if we can create something like that people will want to get on it. That is why it is important to make sure the people that join are dependable and active. Yes it is a long season and for those who have been playing long , we all know some of our GF's , Wives get angry were on it in the morning and in the evening , but if your playing every year inspight of that your a fantasy player. Thats my 2 cents.

On Prize , I also suggest we have a trophy. I think its important to recognize the Champion every year. So we make a trophy like the Stanley cup where every year we have the name of the Champion engraved in the trophy plus .... whatever we think of.

Now to the question , how long do we wait till we can finally discuss this League. I think its fair to place a deadline.

I don't think existing commissioners would be offended if you want to create another fantasy league. We already know that a typical fantasy player can play more than 1 team in different league anyways. Some commissioner may take offense if you chosen to have the prizes on a particular league.

If I were an existing commissioner here, I would applaud you for creating a league that actually has prizes to give out. Plus, some of us here are professional enough to understand that in the end it's all just fun and games ... until our GFs or wives getting angry cuz they're already dressed and ready to go out for dinner while we're still making last minute changes to our roster for the night

As for monetary prizes ... I don't know how would that work for iSTORYANS who are overseas. If they happen to be one of the winners, if not the winner, are you sending the prize via Paypal, Western Union, or mail? Also from experience, monetary prize leagues typically has an entrance fee and use them all as the prize. So the question, will there be one or the prizes are sponsored by this forum? Same for the trophy too. What about having a stickied TROPHY THREAD and have the TEAM with their iSTORYAN name posted there in big bolded letters congratulating as the current winner instead where everyone could see it. Below, a list of previous years winner/s.

In regards to players, we won't know exactly their level of commitment to this league. But it's a guaranteed prized league, I'm sure most players will aim for that grand prize! AFAIK, most of the people signing up are familiar usernames in the Basketball Section anyways. They're familiar faces in discussions here.

I agree on having some sort of instant communication such as WhatsApp. Players wanting to join should agree to have this and have everyone on the league so we can get a hold of them if there are last minute notices, trade proposal, and etc. The only problem if all of interested players has a smartphone and if they regularly check their phone and has a near-unlimited data and etc. For me, I don't have a signal at work nor Wi-Fi, but when I do, I always get in touch back on time via iSTORYA.net's PM or WhatsApp. Diba, a couple of weeks ago I replied to your private message on time cuz it happened to be a weekend. So having this instant messaging app would certainly help especially when it comes to this game.

Last questions ... for now: what site we'll be using? Yahoo!, ESPN, Fantrax, CBS, and etc? AFAIK, many prefers Yahoo because of its friendly interface. Fantrax is only good if you want the league with a salary cap (a paid version though). What type of draft will be: snake draft or auction?
