ah...cebu is the best city in the PHilippines,, the anchor of our country..davao is just a mere big city with lots of dorian..he.he...sa kadako sa nu ciudad, wa jd mo kalupig CEBU,,,,,,so yaw mo panghambognu davao..ky ang Cebu gahilum ra,,perten diay booma,,,,,pwde pa lang,,ang Cebu i capital sa philippines, but bati kymudghan mga taw...mao cge nlng himo reclamation area dwe,,,....Cebu will always be the best city in the Philippines,, bsan asa kamangutana sa outisde CEebu and Davao..so way palag ha..angkunon nlng na ninyo.k.....

Daan ko pa, ulbo gyud kaspa sa mga cebuano! unsa kaha ikasulti pud sa mga bol-anon dire.

Pero sa tinuod lang ba, diha ko puyo sa Cebu niadto, sa Lahug nga area, Cebu Plaza (Waterfront) pa lang ang taas na building pero kadto nga time ganahan kaayo ko sa CEBU ba, hasta Bohol. Mag sige lang ko suroy sa Argao ug Dalaguete ug sa Moalboal. Haskang mingawa sa Moalboal atung una pero dabest kaayo para sa akoa, alegre gyud ko kaayo kay solo kaayo nako ang lugar wala pa kaayo mga turista.

Pero sa dihang nag sugod na asenso ang Cebu, murag nawala na ako gana kay halos mingsundog na sa Metro Manila sa kahugaw ug ka delikado puy-an ug suroy-suroyan. Ningsamot ang snatching, pickpocketing ug drugs related crime. Kung medyo trapik sa Colon atung una, karon kaguliyang na halos bisan asa.

Nawala ang rustic charm sa CEBU. Parehas na siya karon halos sa ubang siyudad nga kaguliyang ang agi.

Karon nga naka adto ko ug Davao, murag nakit-an napud nako ang lugar nga ganahan nako puy-an ug para sa akong mga anak ug himuonon pa. Ang mga tawo sab nagsagol na mao medyo nawala ilang pagka regionalistic nga kinaiya kay bisan pa ilocano man, cebuano, natibo o tagalog, gi consider na nila ila kaugalingon davawenyo. Mao naka nindot ani nga lugar, multi ethnic na, ayaw lang i-apil nang mga korean kay wa ko ganahi ana nila.

@pogingpogi: growing pains na pre. every city goes through that, no exceptions. Unless, in a perfect world, maayo mo plano atong mga dakong tae, malikayan unta nang kaguliyangan. Saon man lisud gyud na mahitabo diri.

Good for Cebu keep it up. Meanwhile we will assist in uplifting the standards of threads here by discouraging dumb postings and addressing inaccurate opinions or repelling malicious comments.

Cebu or Manila doesnt need to prove kung unsa sila ka booming, while ang Davao ga boom pa lang so mao sikat sila pirmi sa mga pahayagan. BUT, honestly ha, Davao is nice but compare to Cebu lang not Manila i believe mas okey sa Cebu. Ma threatened man gani ang Davao i compare sa CDO na perting gamaya how much more sa Cebu or Manila.

To all Cebuanos..... kalma lang mo mga brad, I am from Davao and I am one of those who defend my city but only if someone say something nasty to our place. However, I do agree that this thread is overboard.... "Davao is the best city in RP" is a title that pisses a lot of people.

Obviously... the thread starter's motive is to generate a lot replies and start a word war between DVO and CDO (my initial thought) since there is another thread like this who talk's about CDO's dominant position in Mindanao. The TS just wanted to outdo the other thread. Eventually, it also starts this Cebu vs Davao online argument which I believe is going nowhere. The TS is no longer posting here, and I bet his enjoying every bit of ferocious exchange of hateful words in this forum.

Busa...... dili na lang ta mag-away away...... ang akung roots kay Cebu (Argao for mother, Carcar for father).... daghan kog kaila ang roots nila sa Cebu..... Pero we consider ourselves dabawenyo na kay diri na man mi na-anak ug nanagko. But that would mean Cebu and Davao are close ties like brothers and sisters... We should help each other through trade and business linkage para mas paspas ang asenso.... there are things that Davao can offer for Cebu, Cebu for Davao and vice versa. Both cities are nice, both cities are unique, both cities are no. 1 in RP in a numerous sorts of ways.... PEACE!

in my opinion case to case basis gyud kong unsay basehan sa pagka no.1 sa city, and a lot of things to consider, and another thing is kinsa mga tawhana unsa nga company.what kind of business they are in.. unsa ka dako ilang business ang gi survey para na-a ta basehan why they choose that city...

ang cebu na-ay daghan ika offer nga wala ang davao.. but davao also can offer nga wala ang cebu... same with some big city in the philippines...like makati, manila, pasay, etc....

I am trying to make peace here with Cebu peeps tapos attack mode na man pud ka diha.... try to read my post above yours and comprehend what message I am trying to tell the people in this forum. I mean this:

Naay thread ni sulpot lang ug kalit nga ang title

purpose: Masuya ang taga-Davao mag start ug lalis.... ang makasasala Kagay-anon

Sa pila ka adlaw ni labay, ni sulpot pud ning thread
"DAVAO: The best city in RP"
purpose: Tubag sa pikas thread pampasuya sa taga-CDO (akung unang impression)
Pero ni buto siya sa panagbangil sa DVO vs CEBU. ang makakasala ang newbie first time poster DVOguy.

Obvious man nga gusto lang nilag lalis sa forum para malingaw siya ug basa... duda gani naku si DVOguy ug Kagay-anon usa ra ka tao.. Again I said this thread went overboard and should not be given too much attention...... Cebu and Davao are supposed to be friends....
