I would be happy, if Election will push through... but I will always have a doubt on this CONgressmen's ASSembly.

Point of alarm! Why the rush?

Affirming speech from administration? Can you recall this line?

"If I were to run, it would require a major political effort on my part but since I am one of the principal figures in the divisive national events in the last two or three years our political efforts would result in a never-ending divisiveness"

I agree with mariaClara.... It's what we called a "War Games" ang nahitabo sa Mindanao. A war games between military leaders and the rebel leaders. Wala na kahibalo ang mga under rank nga sundawo kung unsay nahitabo, they only knew and do the commands and orders by their commanders.

Why man dunay nahitabo sa Oakwood lead by (now Senator) Antonio Trillanes and his buddies?

Wala bitaw martial law karon but there's an injustice killings of activist.... How could you define those happenings wherein military are actually involved.

Flip!? dili man tingale brad... sharing each thoughts and ideas mana, lain-lain baya ug perceptions and assumptions ang tawo.

    Possibly P.
    Therefore, P?

It also implies a strawman argument. An informal fallacy like this one:

Person A: We need to change some provision of the constitution via Con-Ass.
Person B: No, coz many people believe it could only lead to no elections and therefore extending Gloria beyond 2010 and people will protest leading to a People Power and later leading to Martial law coz some of Arroyo's adviser are former Marcos advisers.

Detractors are also using this Con-Ass issue to scare and a squid tactic. Scare tactic coz it creates a delusion that the Con-Ass will somehow lead to Martial law. Squid tactic coz it diverts away Mancao's homecoming as somewhat a prelude to Martial law instead of the "real issue" of him testifying about the Dacer-Corbito murders.

    TO ALL READERS:

which of these have reasonable and fair arguments?

    These ones?

"There will be elections next year and the recent approval by the House of Representatives of resolution calling for a constituent assembly cannot be used to postpone polls."
    ~ Comelec chairman Jose Melo

"If the Constitutional amendments push thru, elections will be necessary to ratify the changes."
    ~ Rep Benhur Salimbangon

"The elections are inevitable. What more worries me is the failure of automation of the May 2010 elections." ~ Rep Pablo Garcia

"House resolution on Con-Ass specifies that the President and all public officials whose terms are supposed to end in 2010 must step down next year. ~ Rep Raul del Mar

"The provision for officials to step down is binding." ~ Rep Eduardo Gullas

    Or these ones?

"We expressed fears that the House resolution will lead to the cancellation of the election" ~ Akbayan

"While there is no firm assurance they will not allow postponing the elections or extending Arroyo's term." ~ Rep Antonio Cuenco

"With the approval of that resolution, there is a possibility there won't be elections next year." ~ Jacque dela Pena, Change Politics Movement
Some people in denial sa mga activities sa Congress.............Something is really seriously wrong why they can quickly pass a bill when it comes to the President's concern. There are some important bills that needs attention like CARP, why its hard for them to take care of this kind of bill while our poor farmers are in serious need to pass.

There is nothing wrong in this kind of posting we are in Democratic Party the malicious act is on the COngress who passed the unpopular bill last night to extend their terms.

    >> it must be u are looking at the civilians and their families nga nangamatay.. of course dili na joke oie..
but look at what is happening.. i mean why this is happening.. tungod sa 'war games' sa mga military ug rebelde..

kung tinud-anay pa nang pag-eliminate sa mga militar, ug ang pag-sukol sa mga rebelde,
adto sila sa kabukiran nga wla lain taw.. atake whenever..

i mean, until now? banga-a gyud diay sa mga military gud.. sayang ang taxes..
