@matzkimatzki: based on the pics you posted, that is not an iguana. that is a philippine sailfin lizard.
yup i know...i was just wondering unsa ang nindot ipa kaon ani..ky 7 years na jud ni nako pero tan.aw nako niwang gihapon kaayo..nya gamayan ra ko niya compared sa uban sailfin lizard...banana ra man pud iya ganahan kaonon gud..my friends suggested small frogs but lisod kaayo pangitaon...mga once or twice a year ra ko maka pakaon niya ug frogs...
any suggestions about sa diet??
^Some people have suggested feeding cabbage.. do not do this, cabbage when fed in high quantity will make a sailfin or Iguana ill. Sailfins are omnivorous ie.. they eat both plants and animal matter. I would suggest feeding Chinese kankong, mango, kamunggay, seedless grapes, crickets and superworms. I would stay away from frogs as a food source as you may inadvertently feed a small toad... local toads are highly toxic.
Iguana keepers remember that iguanas are herbivores... they do not eat meat. Feeding them insects will make them ill.
Make sure that sailfins/iguanas receive either natural sunlight or artificial UVB. Without it they will become deformed and die.

ahh..ok thanks..the thing about my sailfin..he only eats bananas..we tried diff fruits or vegies..but he doesnt want to eat..
^Bananas can be fed occasionally, but will cause problems if fed regularly. Try seedless grapes, mango, apple, watermelon. They eat a lot of insects while juvenile, but almost exclusively leafy greens when adult.
