it was stable to P500 man fafs, nya ila gi taas ang price because of the additional nga t-shirt (which by the way dili tanan namayad kay nakakuha sa ilang shirt, including fafa dj_dark)...those were the years lang ko nakaapil sa Sinulog fafs mao medyo nakahinumdom pa ko...

ang kuyaw ani og moingon nga mahal na ang Flour og Asukal og ang NFA rice...

To nikon users or other brand users... this is a bold move sa canon and sa business side its a marketing strategy... same lang gud sa mga shorts ni manny pacquiao sa iyang mga fights i dont think mangape na cya ug Cape Puro... hehehehe Dili nalang nato basolon ang foundation coz its already a made deal... whats done is done... wats important is we can have a healthy photography competition... diba?

Lets just be proactive with it... i suggest to create a patch to cover the LOGO both front and back... or just print out a sticker of your brand then coveran dayon...

To canon users... well its really a big bonus that our brand is "delighting us always" hehehehe lets wear it proundly but not in a HAMBOGERO way? ok?? hehehehe

Can't w8 for the start of the registration hope this thread will be updated regularly from people from the Sinulog foundation...

who should we blame then? Canon? i salute Canon for it's marketing strategy but kung ipugos sa imo sa usa ka foundation to wear it, then diha na mo create og problem...

that is why we are asking for an option... if maka choose me og t-shirt then wala na problema and a discount gamay (kani kung pwede lang)... and i think we deserve to get what we paid for? Sinulog is not just for Canon shooters diba? it's for everybody regardless of brand your using...

and the patch is an additional cost on our part... Mo sponsor ang Canon ani? or ang SF?

i don't think we could sell it to Canon users for P750 or even P250 or P125... who wears a Vest this days ba in an urban setting? maayo unta og wildlife photographer ta or kanang mga photographers sa simbahan kay murag madala ra...

SF should have thought about this a million times before putting that brand sa vest... if mo sponsor gyud ang canon, naa man siguro other choices/place nga i put ang Canon brand, like sa ID, or sa mga contingents tarps, or paypay (kay init og alimuot baya na), sa Payong (again kay init or ulan), or kalo(again kay initi og ulan)... but not that BIIIIIIGGGG lang unta (like sa kulas this year Sinulog 2010), sa pila nila ka years of holding a photography contest wa pa sila kahibaw ani, IMPOSIBLE!... hope you get my point fafs, or to mam ashmae nga nag represent in behalf of SF...

sama sa akong giingon i will still register, but ako lang isagbay ang vest sa akong bukton dili lang nako e wear, they can disqualify me if they want to or call me a fanboy... inig human himuon nakog trapo sa amoa kay nahutdan na mi diri, maayo kay branded og mahalon (tag P250)...

All i'm saying is that its a made deal... humana ni cya... di nani ma ilisdan ang sponsor... blaming sum1 or any1 will not change the fact nga naa jud canon nga logo ang mga vest...

I think wearing this vest will not make ur photography skills and creativity (w/c is more the important) any lesser... diba? i know putting a sticker or a patch will be an added cost but its a possible option, the cost is nothing compared to the investments made to photography equipments...

I'm just wishing that other brand users will be PROACTIVE rather than REACTIVE... coz i know bug-at jud ni sa mga buot sa other brands... na swertehan lang jd ang canon users... thats all...

anyways... ngano 2 nalang ka photos per catergory ang pwede ma submit 750 na ang bayad tapos 2 nalang copared sa last year nga 600 ang registration and i can submit 10 photos per category... <--- this one for me is a total rip off!!!!

and regarding the Canon sponsorship..hmmmm..i wonder if they would let a Nikon user win the grand prizes for this contest..or at least let them (ai..us diay..hehe) place in any category. kay murag makaguba sa ilang marketing strategy if Nikon ang first placer/s sa category/ies..

fafs, there must be someone to blame for this and that is SF... kinsa pa man diay? us photographers? Canon? di ba it's better man sad for the SF nga makahibaw sila nga dili tanan photographers nalipay aning ilang gibuhat...

here is the scenario bai... your promoting the brand Canon even if you don't use it... and then mubayad pa gyud ka og P250 for doing so... if mao na ang akong brand nalang akong e promote... which is pilde guihapon ko kay sila raman ang madato ako pobre guihapon... hehehehehe

if mao ni ang case then ang dapat bayaran lang nato is the I.D which i think cost P500 together with your 10 entries... the 250 should have been waived kay ang Canon naman ang nag provide ana (which is dili ko sure, basin 50/50 sila sa SF). Kulas this year is small(which pwera saway lang pirting batia pagka design), Canon next year is BIGGGGGGG...

I believe SF wouldn't hear SUPER NEGA feedback for doing this, to save the reputation I think they need to be open minded and hear some of our thoughts.

Sinulog 2011 Photo Contest not BRAND-Sinulog 2011 Photo Contest tama ba? Php750 and force the registrant to wear the vest? I think ilahang dapat buhaton is that they will let the registrant choose either the tshirt or vest, next question unsay print out sa tshirt? same naay dako na CANON?

Do you think SF didn't create any bias doing this? Getting a solo sponsor? I don't blame NIKON or other brand not doing the same move, but do you think what are the chances mo daog ang other brand? (wondering!)

Intriguing for the SF naa nuon sponsor ni dako nuon ang registration? Murag ni gawas money matter ang gui apas sa SF? So if they choose tshirt they lessen the price since its so clear man sad mas barato jud ang tshirt kaysa sa vest.

I have no objection canon ang sponsor, but being fair and objective of this contest murag naging questionable nuon.. We have Sinulog 2011 PHOTO CONTEST not BRAND PHOTO CONTEST.

Well, dli man sad contest ang akoang gui apas but maka shoot ug tarong and experience, but I sympathy for those other serious contestant to bring the name of their brand and MAKING EVERYONE COMFORTABLE.

coz ang incharge ani is our marketing director from graphic fx nd dli ni cya purely sponsored by canon coz d 250 from ur 750 is adto sa canon itself plus d pf of ur mrketing pjud...

so ur all free 2 visit our ofis nd talk our boss rgarding dat matter.. dnt worry coz he's willing to hear all ur concerns...

wala mi nangwarta ana sa sinulog photo contest kay 2 think dli lang ang prizes among expenses ana bt dghan pa like sa photo exhibits nd othr things nd wer also planning 2 have a sinulog photo workshop by nxt yer pra sa mga mo join ug photo contest...
