aircraft wheels do have brakes but only on the main wheels (the ones attached to the fuselage, not at the tail/nose)...the left and right wheels' brakes are controlled independently as to assist in turning while taxiing...in mid-air, faster aircraft have air brakes on the wings and some aircraft have them on the fuselage...air brakes (dili ni kanang brake sa de karga hap?) hampers the smooth flow of air over the wings so that the aircraft will bleed some airspeed off....
that explains the dog-fights in Top Gun and Iron Eagle. . .![]()
it does have air brakes.
