It depends. Other than opening grosses, the film's ability to make money down the stretch is another important challenge to overcome. I personally never expected GI Joe to be a high grosser, even tough it's a given that it would open at number 1.

Its ability to attract moviegoers in the weeks to come is still a big question mark. Wolverine opened in America with over $85 million, yet it never reached the $200 million mark.

On the flip-side, Star Trek opened with $75 million and finished with $255 million thanks to strong word-of-mouth and its strong appeal to the mainstream viewers.

GI Joe could use the trends that helped Star Trek succeed. The question is - can it sustain and attract the paying viewers on the long run?

That's even lower than the 6.8/10 grade Wolverine got from 52,446 ratings.

GI Joe has a $175 million budget, so in order to break even the film needs to gross at least $350 million worldwide.

If the word-of-mouth is weak, and if the opening is not high enough, it could mean trouble not only for the producers of the film but also for the movie studio trying to calm complaints and jitters from its shareholders.

Para nako, nindot ang movie! Nice effects and all, nindot sad ang story compared sa comics.
Ang effects can be compared to Xmen and transformers.
I watched it as SM theater 1 nga mao ra naka bati sa movie kay dili maayo ug sound, mas nindot pa ang home theater sa balay!
Kinsa naka kiota na ani sa lain na movie theater, asa pinaka nindot nga sound diri sa ato na movie theater?
