    IQ84 by Haruki Murakami and Lumayo ka nga sa akin by Bob Ong..

    Murakami is a genius. This has been said so many times on his book reviews but he truly is. Nobody does magical realism like he does.. For Bob Ong's latest book -- it's far from his standard way of writing but it's still smart (take note: smart and not "intelligent"), and of course funny (in a satirical --let me reflect on our "culture" nowadays kind of way).
