I'm all for legalizing it. I actually do believe it will promote liberty, better privacy... and can be better monitored and controlled this way. If the Catholic church starts complaining (as they always do) again, then just offer them a 50% discount voucher for every hooker named Mary. That should make them happy.

We cannot deny that the Catholic church is the first one to make noise against this issue but for me it is no longer a church or spiritual issue but an issue of morals and everybody has their own morals depending on background, belief, environment and on how much the person wants prostitutes.

i have nothing against prositutes/*** workers but come to think of this. if the reason why prostitution should be legalized in the philippines is for the benefit of the *** workers (that is to protect them and provide them with equal rights), that is very noble. but isn't that being pretentious as well? we can't even provide these benefits to our below-average wage earners and even average-wage earners who are taxpayers. government employees like public school teachers are overworked, underpaid and are deprived of certain benefits.
