    what insik meant is the engine which is the main issue concerning fuel consumption. some honda jazz have the same engine with some honda city which is i-dsi.

    This is one strategy of Honda and other brands to create their specific market and protect their brand image..an image of prestige and exclusivity therefore creating their own market..product quality, reliability, and dependability is never an issue..in fact, it is also its main strength..its one of the basics in marketing, to cater to a specific market..you know who will you sell to and who will be buying from you..part of this is that these car brands want to cater to buyers who are particular about image..
    walay low end, kalas ug gasoline? well, this idea probably came up due to the reputation of Honda engines to be HP-oriented, meaning you get the potential of the engine at higher rpms..true to some Honda engines but newer models already maximizes the torque band..so out of the question na nga walay low end..probably close minded ra ta to the Civic SIR/B16 scenario na ma-appreciate nimo kung I-cge banat..
    Same engine, same consumption? not all the time, specially if different car models..daghan factors like vehicle weight, type of transmission, driving style, etc...power-to-weight ratio is a major factor, a heavier car might get poor Fc or a bigger engine might get better FC..
    Nganu dili I-taxi? bottomline is simple business sense..if I am a taxi operator, nganu ako labaron akong ulo na try mupalit ug Honda nga di man ipa-taxi, ako lang hasulhasulon akong kaugalingon? nganu Honda man nga naa mas cheaper na other brands..if I already have a fleet running, it makes more sense to buy the same model so I can interchange parts..also, Honda is quite conservative in promos as you have observed, so adto gyud ka sa lesser acquisition cost sa lain brand kay para negosyo gud..
