here's a simple recipe it goes along with the Garlic & Olive Oil pasta. this is fairly easy to make but even easier to screw up. so i would suggest to have everything ready.
serves: 1
5 large prawns, peeled & deviened/butterflied
4 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, mince
1 pinch chilli flakes
1 tablespoon anchovy paste
4 leaves of fresh basil chiffonade
6 ounces cooked angel hair pasta (al dente)
salt to taste
on medium heat cook your prawns with olive oil. add garlic and sweat until fragrant is evident (do not burn)
add chili flakes and anchovy paste and cook for 45 to 60 seconds. add basil and cook for 15 seconds or so.
meawhile quickly blanch your pasta on hot water and drain. the idea is to warm the pasta
add pasta to the pan and toss. season with salt if needed
serve with french baguette....enjoy
