IMO, it wasn't disappointing, because in the first place the trailers didn't even do a good job of building up hype among the fans.

I was sort of looking forward to seeing the movie because the video game series always reminds me of college (1st year ko nagduwa sa UMO sauna Sands of Time, nya pag-2nd year nako sa Fuselage sa TC ko tigduwa sa Warrior Within). But when I first saw the trailer, I never really got worked up and anxious to see the movie, dili parehas atong sa Dark Knight or sa G.I. Joe or sa Transformers nga nag-huwat gyud ta kay we knew nga nindot gyud. I still watched on the opening weekend though, hehe, kay wa may lingaw.

Anyway, the movie was OK. I was expecting more high-wire acrobatics and cool sword fights since that's what I vividly recall from the game/s but sadly there weren't too many. But still, it's entertaining, worth watching. One of those movies that don't require you to use too many brain cells. I guess it's different for everyone, that's just my opinion.
