THE LATEST
Warriors waive Adonal Foyle: Adonal Foyle agreed to a contractual buyout from the Golden State Warriors and may look to join any team in the NBA. The frontrunner team who are interseted in getting Foyle is the Orlando Magic, who are trying to lure him in Florida for a veteran's minimum of $1.2million. That should be an add up to the reported buyout of $13million instead of Foyle's due of $20million this year.
David Wesley to retire?: Wesley's contract, as has been reported, is only partially guaranteed ($250,000 of $1.75 million.). Unlike some veteran contracts, which become fully guaranteed in August or September, Wesley’s doesn’t until Jan. 10. So the Cavs will have until then to trade the contract, which can be used to reduce another team’s salary. So they are not in a rush to make a move with it.
Ime Udoka, to Spurs: The 36-year old Bruce Bowen may now have a successor in the 30-year old Ime Udoka, who played and started with the Portland Trail Blazers last season. THe Spurs signed him for $2million worth in two years but for the matter of starting over Bowen is an understatement since Udoka has only one season experience as an NBA starter.
