    Sorry if it sounds confusing...

I do believe the Bible, but I don't think my belief towards it has anything to do with the issue. You claimed that religion is based on blind faith, and you brought up the accounts of Abraham and Job as examples. But you said you don't believe they ever really happened. So how are they illustrations of blind faith?

anyway..my examples perfectly exhibit blind faith..sa story pa lang daan ni abraham..if wla syay blind faith sa ginoo..then he shoud've asked why man nimo ipapatay ang akoang bugtong anak wherein mao man lang nai akoang gipangayo nmo..and si isaac pd mismo wla lang pd qualms knowing that he'd be killed by his father..now if dli na blind faith sa imoha..then i don't know what's your definition of blind faith dude.
But you said a while back that you don't believe that story... Now, it seems you're again presupposing that the story is true. Am I wrong? If we suppose that the story is true, or if we really believe that the story is true, then we're believing that God really did exist and that he spoke to Abraham. If God really did speak to Abraham and Abraham knew that it was God who spoke to him, then he had good reasons for trusting in him, don't you think?

Then the question is, it is all written in the bible that nobody died in the test of faith, so is Haiti the works of GOD?.

What about the first few verses of Genesis, "In the Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth..." Doesn't that correspond with what the Big Bang theory points to, creation out of nothing?

Okay, let's suppose that the account of Abraham's offering his son to God is true. That would mean that God really exists, and if so, Abraham would have good reasons to trust in him, wouldn't he?

ok ok fine...if those few verses of Genesis are enough for you to say that parallel sya sa big bang theory..and wla na kai laing elaborations..then i respect that..imoha na..pero sad to say..i am not buying it dude..i respect your interpretations but thanks..i'd rather stick to the scientific theory...kai sa akoa man gd..it's so easy to connote and say that the few verses of the bible does parallel the big bang theory..i guess you have to elaborate on that dude to make me see your point na it does correspond with what the big bang theory points to..

You know that Christians believe God created the universe out of nothing, right? Well, doesn't Big Bang cosmology support that belief?

^ I mean, doesn't the Big Bang model support the idea of creation out of nothing?

BTW, we're already far off-topic. I think the thread is really about the problem of evil.

whether believing in it or not doesn't nullify my explanation regarding blind faith...it is known even sa imoha..na i did not make up the story out of thin air..it is there in the bible and for me it is fitting nga diha ko mukuha ug evidence for blind faith..now whether i believe in it or not doesn't necessarily destroys the credibility of my example..

good reasons?..or is it just blind faith and obedience..kai si lord man nisugo..thinking up of good reasons why i should trust his judgement even if it will cost me my life or the lives of the ones i love doesn't matter at all...bsta i'll do it..ana na style? mura diay military...follow first then ask questions after.

it's kinda hard to explain the specifics im no big bang theory hardcore specialist..but unless if science found a way that god himself..the christian god has something to do with the big bang directly then diha nko mutuo..all i can see is that you're theorizing that the bible does support the big bang by connecting the first few lines of genesis to the big bang theory..without any elaborations..i respect that opinion of yours pero in my books it doesn't hold water at all..sorry
