Subject Flesh: We are a large carbon based being with 60% water and a massive nerve system connect to a brain. We are in essence a Carbon battery with conductive wiring.

Purpose for the wiring: If pricked unknowingly with a pin on the heal you brain receives signal from pain receptors, processes information from these receptors and then the evaluated information is sent to various muscles telling you to jump, rub the pained area, and yell at your friend, "Why the hell did you do that!" all in a split second, How? Electric Energy which is stored and contained in the carbon based battery we call the human body.

When you die everyone loses, even if sealed in a big zip-lock baggie, several grams of unexplained weight loss. Electric Energy has mass, mass has weight.

What happens to the Electric energy upon death: It appears to exist no longer in the host body. Does it die? No
One of the basic laws of physics is the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.

With the advent of String Theory we can now conceive of infinite dimensions or realities sharing the same space. It would help explain what happens to our Electric Energy upon our death. The energy does not die yet the lose of the weight, of it's removal of mass, dictates that it does exit the body.

The term to cross over would be correct if the Electric Energy which is our essence, slips into a different dimension or reality, which is layered over our own reality. Heaven and hell just beyond our reach.
The problem with this James is that the 'current' in our brain is not the conventional 'electric current' that runs in our car battery...e.g. with positive/negative polarity but rather 'chemical currents'...electrochemical..which by the way I'm short of understanding.

A am a biologist and electrochemical reaction in nature still confuses me, it is a science within itself.

True we are not a car battery, yet we do have Electrical Energy and an EMF field and discharge static electricity. There for we have to have polarity.

Our body is far more complex carbon based unit, than a carbon block with copper strips and 2 post. And the elctrical energy is far more complex than the stored charge in the car battery. We can run 120 years with out a charge and require no external alternator or generator to maintain the discharge requirements of every day usage. You can steal the total charge of a car batter and replace it at a latter date. We can not do that to a human body we would call that process reincarnation.

Our body host and contains an electrical energy that has mass, weight , and can not be destroyed. In a way we are a very complex walking battery with eyes, independent thought, and the most complex chemical processor on earth.

I think we kind of 're-charge' ourselves by intake of foods to which the body process and converts to energy transporting molecules carbohydrates, within this they carry energy storing molecules such as starch and glycogen that 'fuels' our body to function. Starch and glycogen acts like coals in the engine of a steam
power plant that keeps the generator turning to produce electricity.

Now, energy is much abused word...energy is simply the quantity that describes the potential to produce work. Not a thing eternal nor temporal- simply a quantity in the same league with volume, mass, distance etcetera.

In a sense our 'body' can not be destroyed only transform into another form of matter- non-biological matter. Even though we are all made up of the same thing and each of us carries a unique set of blueprint, we can not escape from the fact that we became who we are because it is chance or providence that decides where to put us in space and time.

Would it be possible for us to have these thoughts we have now if we were rise in a different place and time? The I that I am now would be still the "I" if I exist instead some where else and at time not here and not now, even if it is given that I still posses the same physical characteristic? I find it amazing to realized that no two people have the same personality...it is much obvious in different preferences of people. For instance, why do you choose your favorite color? Why do some people like chocolate more and not vanilla and so forth...

Adding to the whole conundrum sometimes people deny themselves of what they really want and like deep down inside for one reason or another...

It is more profound than my understanding, yet it can be the only thing that can accounts for the unexplained weight loss of a human body upon death. we can no weigh the soul or thought essence of a human being. The consciousness leaves the body and it must have mass and weight or that Law of Physics is wrong and not a viable and reliable law. Consciousness must be present for reincarnation, past life experience, transcendental travel that have been reported and recorded through out the existence of man. Our modern sciences are light years ahead of 1,000 years ago, and how far will our understanding be in another 1,000 years. Our science even as great as we think it is, is but a child that is steadily growing. The combined Knowledge is doubling every 2 years. By the time you can go through college to learn the basics of science, that scientific knowledge will have grown by a factor of 4. I believe science will someday be able to answer the questions asked by members on the forum about religion, God, the soul, and the human condition. But science has not developed to the point to verify the incredible numbers of theories proposed to answer what can not be answered.

Many Theologies believe our consciousness, soul, life essence, and other terms move on to the next plane of existence. That that step of journey can only be achieved by our release from this earthly plane. Amputees often have the sensations of their severed limbs, can that be a reflex memory or chemical reaction; science is not sure yet it has been reported. One twin feeling pains of the other twin even if miles apart. Their is so much about or bodies, brains, and consciousness we do not understand. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam believe you take what is uniqetly your into the after life.

Hindu believe in reincarnation and memories of past lives, even after leaving and returning to this physical plane. The Dali Lama, was able to pass a strict test to prove he had memories of himself during his last life as the preceding Dali Lama. When he dies his followers will seek him out again so he will be able to take his place as Dali Lama again for his next life time, then again, and again.

In Christianity it states we will all receive a resurrected body, even if dead 1,000's of years?
Tell you the truth it may be 500 - 1,000 before half the questions asked by members can be answered and I will have to wait just like everyone else. There has to be bigger minds then what are trying to answer these questions now. I hope someday a member or members on this forum who are beginning their careers in the sciences will be the ones to unlock the Secrets of the Universe. There is a reason why they are called the secrets, because as of now we just do not know.

I am a biologist and I can tell you this:
You can take a seed, plant in the finest soil, fertilize with the most advanced fertilizer, maximize the Light intensity, and maximize daylight/darkness times. force enriched airs and gasses in the tightest controls. And you will not make the plant grow heathy any faster then it is willing to grow.....The point is you can not do it with the sciences either, it will grow as it will grow. Asking impossible to answer questions with science at the point it is now is but a waist of time and energy. Arguing over what can not be proven or disprove, is like arguing over virtual fantasy teams and sports games, it is just an exercise in childish rants, over childish hobbies, and childish concepts. Because unless it can be scientifically proven you can not force it, you can accept it. Science still needs time to grow and mature.

don't worry, sis, if believing in the lord resonates in your soul, the dark nights of doubting will not break your faith. but if your belief is only due to deep conditioning, then wala lang

Tama ka Ms. Miyay...in fact that's the beauty of engaging ourself in argument to what other's believe not necessarily to convince (ideally) but simply to put our faith to the test- keeps the faith alive and strengthens the conviction....when people starts to admit it to themselves that I DON'T KNOW BUT I BELIEVE IT then they have arrived at faith in it's purest form...not an ideal but a need in one's life to which logic and reasons will fail...in my case- what Jesus's had promised..

i remember good sir, i do well remember your comment back back then. but these are times when convictions are too vain. and save pity for those who really need it. cheers!

    @ ms.

am not pretending to be cool. these are times when convictions are too vain. just because i gave two choices doesnt mean i have to choose either.
