si GMA madugay. asa man diay paingon?
Only in the Philippines where some people call as "friends" the very same foreigners that racially look down on them. No wonder why the Philippines will never progress. Although it's an "independent country" but it still subverts itself to the will of "richer" and "powerful" countries, even to the point of putting the blame to the current president, others even calling him a retard simply because "napahiya daw sila."
Although we are apologetic for the event but we should not go to the extend of putting down ourselves too much as if we are inferior and them foreigners are superior.
We should get rid of our colonial mentality complex of kissing the asses of foreigners just to appease them and make them happy.
I AM NOT ASHAMED of what happened. AND I WILL NOT SAY SORRY.
What happened was just an isolated incident.
Murders are happening in the USA, acid-throwing incidents on tourists are happening in HONG KONG, civil unrests are happening in Thailand, terrorists are bombing popular tourist sites such as the Holy Land in Israel, etc...etc..etc.. And yet we always try to create a grim picture that the Philippines is the most pitiful country in the world.

Ya you are right! We should exercise and emphasize our trait of being bagag nawong! Those richer nations are not responsible for our mess so why should they tolerate our irresponsibility and incompetence. Take your ill advised nationalism and think about the real world!
/facepalm
@sushiro1988: Do you have any evidence that all foreigners "look down on" us? Maybe some right? Those HK tourists came to the Philippines and help our economy, are you saying they look down upon us? So they come here to visit and spend their money? Is that logical!Anyway what the hell does that have to do with the incompetence of the handling of the situation? From what I can tell nothing! So if the foreigners look down on us, it gives us the perfect excuse to have an embarrassing police force? Those events you mentioned in Hong Kong, USA and Thailand are for what purpose? To imply that all countries have crisis of some form? DUH. It's not for the crisis that Noynoy is being blamed but on how he handled the crisis. He is not being blamed for Mendoza being crazy, he is being blamed for not taking control of the situation and for committing diplomatic blunders.
So the bottomline is Noynoy expected the Presidency to be a smooth-sailing office, so he was completely unprepared. Maybe he thought he could sail through it like he did in congress. toink..
well, bombing in thailand are unforeseen events..but hostage taking is an event that can be controlled and negotiated with proper procedures.
The hostage crisis is not about being an isolated incident that happens in every country, but how it was mishandled by the govt and what's more is that it involves tourists.
hahay! faetz ang nahitabo... be sure lang gyud ni ang nag autopsy og nag investigate na mapareho ang result sa taga hongkong...
