the dog was not running around ....he was tracking down the human target using air and ground scenting........

I will get to the specifics of what I have in mind. I did mention that to an untrained eye, he was running around in circles and find his master.

I am very impressed by the dog even by the command "search" alone and the dog responded right away. What I want to know;

Does Furro made to sniff some stuff belonging to the person/target so that it is only him that he will track? like in the movies? hehehehe, as I observe in the video, there is another person walking past the dog (minor distraction) and he just ignore him.

I do not know who in the video is the human target until he finds him. It was not shown before he was release that this is the human target and hiding in this area.

I dont intend to appear to be critical but a very interested individual that admire the training of the dog and the dedication of the trainer.

Actually, naa nako napalit na materials na ako pa himuon. Nakakita ko ug solid na murag rubberized ang surface na baseball, and dili lang man pud siya gahi kaayo. I am thinking of drilling a hole through it, and come up with something like that. I will post a picture lang unya after I am done with it.

I have also made up another similar toy, using a cotton rope. Will post lang pud unya ug pic of it when I get home. Was just limited with the size kay gamay ra nga size sa cotton rope akong nakita nga baligya sa amoa.

Kato imo link gihatag, dili man to local. Natintal nako mu order online sa Leerburg, pero basin pa naa mapalit nga local lang. Wa pa pud ko ka try ug shop online, hehe, and naturally apprehensive regarding such transactions.

There's a big hardware inside Robinson's. Go to the dog accessories section and there you will find the ball with a string that you are looking for. I doubt you will find it anywhere else in Cebu.

Nice Video sir! Yes, the airscent method is very effective on covering large areas quickly.

Although this video does not show a GSD (sorry for this), but this shows the classic method of K9 TRACKING where the dog is presented with an ARTICLE from the SUSPECT, then the dog will footstep track it and will DISCRIMINATE the other SCENTS from the one she is trying to find, she also needs to stick her nose to the ground. This requires a lot of focus and a different level of discipline.
