    Istoryans,

    Naa lang ko inquiry sa ako "AZER";
1.) Regarding behavior sa ako puppy during playtime(usually 5:00am to 5:30am and 7-8pm, offleash). I have other mixed bred dogs that play with him, he is now 4 months and becoming too big for the adult dogs. He is playing it rough with the smallest one and when that sched arrives, the smallest one just hide under the sofa/chair... Should I do something about it or it will just go away when he mature?
2.) Playing with toys or should I say chewing with toys. Recommendation? durable toys, where to buy, leave it or bring it out only when playtime comes.
3.) Marking the territory. He always marks that spot in the kitchen. Any suggestion to channel that to a more acceptable location like the garden?
4.) Hand feeding him to my own food mixed(uncook ground pork, oats, cereal, diced carrots squash vegetable pear, etc). good habit?
5.) Beer...does anyone give it to thier dog? I have read from the net that some people do it, there are pros and cons, from actual experience, is it good or bad? I am curious to know.

    1. sounds like that's aggression. maybe your puppy needs more socialization with other dogs. he should not be dog aggressive.
    2. in the club, we avoid letting our dogs bite/chew outside of training. doing so, lowers there prey drive. when we train, biting/chewing is a 'reward' especially when we try to bring out their prey drive. so i suggest you only allow them to play with they toys during play time.
    3. that's a male dog's natural instinct. hehe..you can try reprimanding him but it will take time.
    4. sounds like a healthy diet but don't hand feed. you are spoiling your dog and eventually he will never eat unless he is hand fed by you.
    5. never tried.

    Thanks...
Let me clarify item on no.1, the smallest one is a toy poodle/spitz mixed and he is in a clumsy stage big boy and you get the picture when they play. Its like david and goliath, he can practically open his mouth and fit the head of my other dog when they are play biting. The other thing when he play, he wants to use his paw a lot and the other dog gets thrown or stump when it hit her and thats when she goes for cover. Should I consider that aggressive sir/maam towards other dog? as I am trying to get tips on how to properly raised this boy and I have no other dog his size, to match his kind of play. I wont consider purchasing another one until he settles to a more mature attitude.

note to self. no more handfeeding. hehehe, One thing I did consider when I decided to handfeed him was the threat of poison from eating food given by other people with malicious intent. I dont even let the yaya feed my dog.

the way you describe it, may be he is really just playing but unfortunately for him (or your other dogs rather) he is too big for them and the poor little ones just get trampled on. this may be ok for your gsd but maybe your smaller dogs will get traumatized and will become anti-social? he/she may develop a fear towards other dogs because of his/her experience with your goliath so to speak, hehe. you may consider joining dog clubs in order to properly socialize him with dogs his own size

another thing with hand feeding is that they become picky eaters. you can give him whatever special food you make but just make sure you are not forcing it on him by hand feeding as he will get used to that and won't eat food any other way.

yeah...I am also worried about the little one, good thing now that during playtime, the other adult dog is now playing with him(unlike before that a growl would stop his intention to play). I have 3 dogs in the house. What I do now with playing time is take turns, Azer will be put on leash when Lucy's time to play.
I do like joining dog clubs, the transfer of ownership was still being processed by Caminade Lapu-lapu. They say it will be available within 2 months. Let's see

It is important for young dogs to socialize

About the transfer of ownership, it only takes PCCI 10 working days to process the transfer. If you include mailing, etc then it should only take 2-3weeks tops.
