The Bible, or young earth creationism, is a leap of faith, bypassing the scientific process and just believing that "God created it all" some 6,000 years ago in a span of 6 days.

Science for me.

Sakto sad ka in some point bro but science has limitations especially with the supernaturals. So God is the most logical answer to this puzzle.

Naa ko example:
*if it happen nagpuyo ka sa isla nga wai hayop then pag-uli nimo sa balay one day dunay turtle (ba-o) sa imong kusina, youre confused how did it came nga wala may ba-o sa isla....you were told by your neighbor nga someone nagpaila imong amigo naghatag ana. Since wala ka kita paghatag, dili ka motuo. Because of your unbelief, imo gipaagi ug scientific process.....counting pila ka days posible maabot sa imong kusina pagkamang.....giunsa paglangoy sa dagat....etc. Pero kung nituo paka sa imong silingan, dili naka mag waste time instead imo nalang atimanon ug pasalamat ka sa naghatag..diba?

Hell is a real place. It is eternal torment. Mao tingali Jesus spoke more of hell than heaven and spent so much time warning people not to go there. After all, if people just stopped existing, why warn them? If it was temporal, they'd get out in a while. But if it were eternal and conscious, then the warning is strong.

Jesus said, "And if your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 "And if your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to go into hell," (Matt. 5:29-30).

Either literal or not, basta naay eternal punishment to those who have freewill and intellect but rejected God.

Waste of time or not, you still bypass the scientific process. Applying it in that example isn't hard anyway:

1. Ask the neighbor who gave the turtle.
2. Call the friend who supposedly gave the turtle, ask him about it and if he concurs, thank him. (I would stop here)
3. If you're really skeptic or if you find that particular friend to be untrustworthy on several occasions, ask for the purchase receipt
4. If you're really really skeptic, go to the store where your friend purchased the turtle
5. (...so on and so forth...)

Obviously most people won't go into so much trouble just to solve the mystery turtle in the kitchen. It's not too much of a leap of faith either that a friend indeed gave that turtle to you as a gift. Or maybe it crawled from the ocean all the way to your kitchen. Both are physically possible. The important thing is to formulate a theory based on the available evidence.

The mystery of the universe, however, is another story. Where science can, at the moment, say and is not afraid to say "I don't know" until evidence becomes available to properly answer the big question (probably in the next 100 or 1000 years), creationists just flat out believe without evidence that "God did it". Perhaps they find comfort that they should have an answer to life's biggest question, but for others, that answer just won't do.
