RES will sometimes eat a small pebble and causing them to choke.. so NOT advisable ang small pebbles..

mag two weeks nah walay init...then wala ko uv light ok r bah sa health sa turts? everyday man gud tah nko painitan 10~20 mins/day

pebbles are a no-no gyud. they might be too small to eat them for now, but they'll swallow them some time soon. mao na ilang gitawag na ma-'impacted' ang turtle nya ana sila na mao daw nai main cause ngano dali ra mamatay ang red-eared sliders.

unsa tubig na dapat? limpyo na tubig. hahah. bitaw they would prefer dechlorinated water kai it would not hurt their eyes.

ang rule sa turtle experts kai 5 gallons per inch ang tubig sa ilaha puy-anan. so if 2 inches na imo tortol, minimum kai 10 gallons. big enough for the turtle to swim on. kylangan pud ug basking area para ma-uga sila hap.

sa water quality, they're messy eaters so they'll need a strong filter. i do 50% water change per week and a general cleaning once a month.

if dili ka ganahan mahugaw ang water ug dali, try feeding them in a separate tub and just return them to their tank as soon as they have defecated.

boy or girl? if ang claws tag-as, boy. if mubo, girl. read through this thread and you'd find pictures. ^_^

red-eared sliders always carry salmonella mao turtle keepers would not recommend giving RES as pets for little kids. the best way to avoid it is to wash one's hand right after handling the tortol. thats ol.

that's fine. as long as they get UVB rays if naa na sun. pero mas imba if mupalit ka ug uvb lights. they need to get vit D3 from the sun to help them absorb more calcium from the food they eat para dili mag soft ilang shell that could lead to shell rot and other internal diseases. also, try looking at the ingredients of the turtle pellets you're giving if it also supplies vitd3. i'd recommend Sera turtle pellets (mejo mahal, pero sulit).

Sakto si leostargolem, most sliders naa jud salmonella pero dli active, or something. Naa ko nabasahan na mag proper handwashing jud ka pirmi after handling sa turtles, plus, murag kung ma stress ang turtle like i-shake or maunsa kai mka salmonella, pero dli ko 100% sure ani.

Hugas lang jud kamot with soap.

.. heheh ...tnx sa repz ... mhadlok nlng ko mo gunit kay bsin magka salmonella nya ko .. hahahah ... by the way .. knang gmay pman cla kua .. then 1 day before nko ilisan ilng 2big ... then akng 2big ibutang kay knag imcee man ... ... then dali ra lghe kaau mabaho ilang tubig ... pero naay ni suggest na ang ibutang daw kay 2big sa tabay ? sakto na ? ? hehehhehee knang complete set nmo nga para sa tortol ba kay kailangan jud na sya i buy ? or pwde wla ra .. ? then bsag gmay pa kay kailangan jud na nga painitan sad ?
