    thanks xeno ill try to check on my rest days thanks for the help hehehehe one last question since im going to start back on my program is it advisable for me to start drinking whey protein if im on a calorie deficit program? or should i start when im trying to build muscle

    Gaining weight = Both fat and muscle

    as long as you're eating slightly above calorie maintenance, fat gain shouldn't be an issue! Train hard

    General rule for bodybuilding is that protein intake should always be constant regardless if you're in a deficit or surplus. To get OPTIMAL results 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight should be consumed. 0.6g/1lb of bodyweight will do, but again to get OPTIMAL results 1g/1lb. Before using any supplements, i would highly recommend you research more about nutrition. A good foundation in nutrition will get you the best results in the least amount of time. Remember, supplements are supposed to SUPPLEMENT your nutrition. So if you are able to reach your protein intake without any protein supplements, then you definitely don't need them! You'll save a lot of money in the long run.

    1 scoop of whey protein = 20-25g of protein
    1 Medium size chicken breast = 25-40g of protein
