im not a gun owner but is open to owning one. giving a little humor lng sa gun related crimes, for me mas maayo cguro kung mahalun ang bala, say 10,000 pesos per bullet, in that way mag duha duha ang mamusilay hehehe

For the most part, anti-gunners legitimately associate guns with murder, violence and crime. We need to understand that. Let's admit it, guns make crime oh so much easier...Other's have given you the right idea on how to combat it. You need to show them guns in a positive and fun light.

We can also try and get them to think about gun control in a non-confrontational way. My favorite is with gun registration. We know that gun registration can have no purpose except to give gov't a list of who owns what guns when the time comes to confiscate them. So ask probing questions. "Ok, so you think we should register guns like we do cars. Does registering a car make it's owner drive any safer? Will it prevent car crime? Can you tell me exactly how gun registration would stop or prevent crime?"

I think the worst thing we can do is to resort to cliches like "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." Yes it's true, but it's like a knee-jerk response that doesn't involve thought...

The movie star knows well that gun control/banning really do not disarm criminals, smugglers and terrorists at all. Gun can injure or kill when used irresponsibly BUT when used correctly and responsibly, the gun can help save lives.
