aside from aircraft, the govt should also ugrade our anti-aircraft defenses. With the ongoing tension, we will surely get overwhelmed if we go head-on dogfights. We need good defenses

buying aircraft has its step by step method.
for the t50.. it's the next step for operating f16 fighter planes.. d man tah pwede mag palit dretso ug 3rd,4th etc gen aircraft without experiencing trainers suitable for each generation planes. Leap those steps and possibilities of aircraft losses will be huge. "trainers" are not only for pilot but both for ground personnel who will be able to train in terms of maintenance which is so far the most important thing before flying.
kita na ko og Nomad og C130 in person sa Mactan Airbase, dili man diay dako kaayo.. na disappoint ko kay fascinated kaayo ko og Military Planes. creepy pa jud ang C130 :-/
yes, corruption lingers in almost all departments. but currently the AFP is trying to irradicate or atleast make in minimal since corruption is a broad issue.. i mean giving just a single bullet as souvenir for a friend not belonging to the AFP is already considered corruption.. in the office, a single bondpaper you bring home with you is a for of corruption also.
but while the AFP is doing its best to make things transparent, it really does not help them when people think of corruption in the department is too widespread that its simply impossible to eliminate. it makes there morality low.
The Nomad is a General Aviation sized plane. The C-130 might not be that big, but it can take the abuse of military usage. Very reliable plane. One time during the Tacloban relief operations, a foreign C-130 loaded passengers up to the jump seat capacity only due to their mandatory loading SOP's but our very own PAF C-130's loaded passengers until they were packed inside. The crew chief shouted to the boarding passengers "pasok lang kayo hangga't may malalagyan pa ang mga paa nyo. kayang kaya ng C-130 natin yan!". At the end of the day, the herky bird proved its worth. Something beyond 50 you can still depend on.
