Ig-agaw ra na kutob sa ubang i compare ninyo sama sa sikat na PADRE DAMASO and the INQUISITION sa church karon .
My main issue wasn't on Shakespeare's play - twas a sidenote purposes if you get the drift (as you would always say) .

If you are not getting the drift then I cant do nothing about it . To spoonfeed you , the story behind GOING BULILIT is about entertainment which the show protrays being FUNNY , in short the children will focus on the story which is funny . In the McDO ad , children will focus on the togetherness of the 2 subjects in a setting where they can relate because CHILDREN go to MCDONALDS .

So the 2 children on the McDo commercial didn't focus on "the story" - that's why the ad is inappropriate ?? Basin ga dahum ka nga tinuod to sila mag uyab . Looooool ...

Children go to McDonalds ? By themselves ? Let alone at the park without adult supervision ??

Why would it be a misnomer when it coordinates ? Teen pregnancy itself is a PROBLEM already. I know personally more than my fingers can count getting pregnant during HS as a reggular student . Documented cases and studies were made in the US that a good number of girls in middle school got pregnant and as early as elementary , they already are dating . What does that suggest you ? Now when you say in the Philippines mga edad na 14 to 16 nangmabdos na , unsay huwaton nimo ? Kana mga 10 years old na siya then diha na ka mo react ?
That's what you think nga ni "coordinate" . Loooool ..

Give me latest statistics nga naay "good number of girls in middle school (grade 6-8 ) got pregnant" aron mu tuo ko , or else you're just stirring shit up . You're too delusional nga maka trigger ug sexual influence tong McDo ad kay ni attempt ang boy to hold the girl's hand at the end sa commercial . Pfffffffffttt ...

I never introduced anything SEXUAL in nature sa dicussion to elaborate why MCDO AD was suppressed but these are probable factors kay MORALITY ang issue ana due to the inappropriateness na gi portray .

I never said anything relating the theme either about SEXUALITY kay dili ana ka BOGO ang MCDO mo portray ana .
Yes you did . You mentioned teen pregnancy . You're implying nga mka trigger ug sexual tinfluence tong McDo commercial .

Mao ni imo gi ingon ae , "Sa age na gi portray say 4 to 6 years old , it could be . Mind you nagkabata na ang teen pregancy karon . "

Deny pa jud ka nga wa ka ni mention "anything relating the theme either about SEXUALITY" ...

But what does BF and GF do outside or off cam nowadays ? Mag duwa ug jackstone ? Scrabble ?
Ga tuo jud diay ka mga seryoso nga mag-uyab tong mga bataa .. Loooooooooool ...

Get the drift ??

The issue on MC DO ad is simple. Let's put it this way. If you're a parent, will you be comfortable to hear your kids talk about "that" topic? If yes, you probably grew up from a family with no values.

MC DO is a company that focuses on families with kids and teens. Approving that ad is very irresponsible. It can't even be compared to beer and cigarrette ads since they have a different market - adults.

I don't agree with CBCP mingling with political issues but on this issue, i have to give 1 point to them for pointing it out well.

I guess MTRCB are irresponsible too since they're the one who approved the commercial be on the air in the first place .

Where did your kids learn about uyab2x ? Parents , relatives , and people around them . It's really common for Filipino relatives when see their nephews , nieces or grandkids in a family gathering , they always ask questions like this ... "dako-a na nimo oy. nya, naa na kay uyab?" .

No one can deny that ...

I guess Filipinos grew up with little , if not no values ... Loooooooooool ...

Diin man ka ani imong generalization nga if mag-istorya imong mga bata ug in-ana nga topic and you approved about it ky nagdako naka nga walay value? How did you come up with that conclusion? Are you a battered child when you grew up? Ka-hypocrite nimo wui look yourself in the mirror and at the same time read what your user handle is in istorya. You might think of what kind of values you are referring to.

Ad is different compared to cigarettes and beer coz ang market is adults? Then why in the world is it not censored on tv, tv commercials are considered as PG / GP. Thats whát censorship and regulatory boards are for.

@ peewee_toot: unfortunately, yes. irresponsible pud sila kay ni-approved sila. but at the end of the day, they are in business and advertising is a big industry and sayangan sila if dili nila dawaton. so they will leave it sa mtrcb or other sectors like cbcp to create a clamor and have the ad remove. sa among company, part sa advertising and marketing guidelines ang values which is wala sa mga TV stations.

@ FAQ: i agree with you. MTRCB could have been a lot stricter especially on this kind of issue to protect Family and Filipino values.

@hayden: i understand your sentiment and how you will think if maka dungog ka sa imo anak (if you have) ug magstorya ug ingana especially if your child is a girl. i will leave the raising of your child to you.

And FYI, this is not just my personal generalization nor conclusion. We, at the marketing and advertising industry issued a letter to MC DO and their agency telling them that the ad was irresponsible. Oh yes, you wouldn't know that becasue we didn't publicize it since kauban ra namo sa industry ang involved and we don't want to create too much clamor. Being responsible doesn't mean kinahanglan ka magsaba-saba. It was only CBCP who became vocal about it. And for that, we are giving them a point. Again, if you will just read all my replies to this thread, mas makasabot ka sa ako pasabot. So dili rani conclude conclude ning akoa coz kami tanan sa industry namo mao ni ang sentiment. So that makes us battered child? ? ?

Now let's talk about TV ads. But before we talk about that, let me tell you what my background is, para kasabot jud ka ha. I worked for the marketing and advertising agency for 15 years and i know pretty much of the ins and outs of what i am talking about.

1st, can you site an example of a beer ad na nasuko ang CBCP? Well here's the answer - wala. Why? Kay one of the shareholders of the biggest beer company in the philippines (san miguel) kay mga pare, kanang mga pare na tagiya sa USJR to be exact (fyi, pare sa USJR and naka formulate sa timpla sa san miguel beer). And its a mandate from them na if they advertise beer dapat dili maka guba ug values. That's why if observant ka, beer will always promote friendship and bonding.

Now, lets talk about cigarettes. If observant ka, wala nay TV ad nor billboards ang sigarilyo. Wala nana sila gitugtan mu-advertise on those media. Kutob na lang na sila sa posters sa mga tindahan ug kanang mga marlboro girls na makita sa mga bars.. Why is that? Because cigarette has a "proven" health hazard. And i guess i don't have to explain it further.

    I hope this clarifies you.

Now finally, my handle name here - JOEADDICT.

I chose that name because i am an avid toy collector. G.I. Joe toys to be exact. You can check out the hobby section of this forum so you can see my toys. You can also check out other forums and you will see that I am using the same handle name. I guess it is you who needs to do some research before concluding and before making "generalizations". It takes one to know one if you're a battered child or not.

    Just my two cents......
