Biri Island, Northern Samar: Re-Visited

For the Nth time I visited the place... This time with friends who are so eager to shoot this place... LitoCruz who is an IPC-member joined the journey few days before the great Japan earthquake. They surely did have a blast and captured the place perfectly.

Biri can be reached via Catarman and Calbayog. It faces the mighty Pacific Ocean and the treacherous San Bernardino Strait. Someday soon we will be back again...

The rooms in Biri varies from 500-1200 per room. Electricity is available for 12 hours (12noon-12 midnight). Biri is not an expensive place to visit this summer

bossing, lahi ra gyud imo sila mabisita boss... I know someday you'll find time to go around the Philippines...

with regards sa basura boss mao nay downside... naa na gyud didto... ang uban kay styro nga nasangit sa mga mangroves. klasi-klasi lang ang basura didto boss, dili pa kaayo daghan pero naa gyud kay makit-an.
ang night heron kay resident na siya didto sa sanctuary, if you visit the place ask the staff asa ang heron kay naa ra siya didto nagtikaw-tikaw.

about the ring kay mga identification marker nila for monitoring. naay lain-lain nga colors which belonged to a specific country. there is a chinese fella that once captured a chinese egret and places a specific band wherein if you happen to capture a photo of it he will reward you with a certain amount.

mao lagi boss lahi ra gyud if makaadto mismo sa place..maayo unta maka timing ko na makakuyog ninyo..pero murag dugay pa gyud na..kay naningkamot pko og naningtiil dri sa layo aron naay matigom. ^^

hahahaha... mao gyud... pohon-pohon kuyog ta boss... pahibaw if ever mo-uli ka especially summer kay tingali mag-abot ang oras.

if interesado sad ka mag-birding then Oct-Feb sa Olango ok kaayo pero dependent pud sa high tide and low tide para mas daghan gyud.

pwede kaayo bossing... suwati lang ug gamay about sa imo travel especially about getting there and mga important tips nga makatabang sa mga naay plano muadto... and atleast 3 photos sa lugar boss... pero kung it was a safety shot kay nag-bagyo and other calamities, unya isa ra gyud imong na-shoot, pwede ra nato ma-consider...

basta, anybody can share here coz our aim is to help travellers and somehow prove that travelling in our country wont have to cost alot.

Leyte... tour around the island of Leyte for 4 days last Holy week... took the roro from Cebu to Ormoc and drove around from Ormoc to Tacloban...went to Marabut in Southern Samar then back down to Sogod via Agas Agas bridge...

Another trip I would like to share is Palawan (Puerto Princesa), I know it has been posted my Sir Recon..but I just wanna share sad sa akong experience

First, nangita kog guide and accomodation... somehow ang ako nakit.an ug balik balik kay si Mang Danny Abad (naa siya facebook icheck lang). so I contacted him, pag confirm niya sa mga rates I immediately confirmed the dates para mareserve na niya. I then proceeded to book a room at Dangkalan Beach Resort..said to be the only Beach front Resort in Puerto Princesa.. its decent but don't expect a nice beach front Price of room is around P1,600-2,000 good for 2.

Airfare: there are flights from Cebu to Puertro Princesa daily... check airlines lang if makakuha promo then very cheap gyud

Hotel: Daghan cheap hotels sa Puerto princesa.. some even as low as P500/pax.. Dangkalan amo gipili kay naa man mi kuyog nga balikbayan ato na ganahan gyud ug beach front haha

Tours: When we hired Mang Danny... he quoted us the following..pero basin nausab na ni
1. City Tour (Iwahig Penal Colony, Crocodile Farm, butterfly, Mitra ranch etc. etc.) - P600/pax
2. Underground River tour w/ lunch and makaswim paka didto sa beach - P1,600/pax (dili ko sure ani..d nako kaayo karemember)
3. Honda Bay Tour - Rented a van for P1,500 padulong sa pier sa honda bay, then rented a boat..small was P2,000, medium is P2,400.. then naa pa mas dagku..if gamay ramo I suggest mag sayo mo para makakuha mo sa small boats
4.Firefly Watching at Iwahig River - Van Rental was P1,500.. then P600/boat ( d ko sure na sad ani)... good for 3 pax
