"Give blood. Save lives." bya ang motto sa blood donors.

by d way, i'd just like to clarify lng ha ky since nka duty man ko sa blood bank both RBCC and Red Cross, dey dont sell blood. ang kanang bayaran nato inig mukuha tag dugo sa blood centers ky screening fee na. before they release a blood, dey mke sure na disease-free na meaning they hve did some tests, which syempre cost money. and since dli mani govt organization, dey cant just rely on donations d ba? so mao na ang charge nila. if qualified mo mu-donate, then nka donate jud ka nya dey found out sa tests na naa ka disease, dey will call u or send u a letter. paad2-on ka sa ofc sa blood bnk then i-counsel ka sa doctor. (sa red cross ni) anywayz, if nkabantay mo, ang blood sa Red Cross naay corresponding price ana for certain blood components (packed rbc, platelets, frozen plasma, etc.) tungod ky sa isa ka-bag, ila na gi-separate ang components pro ang total ana, 1 screening fee ra ghapon ky same process raman sa whole blood. anyways, ing-ana pud sa rbcc. also, if dli man gani mu relelase ug blood ang red cross, tungod na ky gamay ra kaayo ang naa sa blood pool ky wla kaayoy mga donors ning donate blood nya ang i-prioritize nila ky ang mga regular blood donors with donor card. mas matagaan jud nuon mo priviledge if naa mo donor card (which u can get if mu-donate ka willingly and not as replacement sa imong gkuha na bld.) pwede pud ka mu-get blood from there paying the corresponding screening fee just as long na naa kay replacement donor. ky ang katong imo gkuha na blood, naa man tag-iya. mura rag utang gud nya bayaran lng later. blood lng ni. not money. make sure lng na ma-replace ninyo ang blood by looking for a qualified donor ky just in case (God forbid) manginahanglan mo usab, makakuha pamo ngad2. ky if dli ninyo ma-replace, ma-block listed man mo. basically, same rules apply to both blood banks. also, if sa sa rbcc or red cross mo mukuha blood, u cant request like how-may-day(s)-old na blood ky its a rule na first in, first out ang blood. imagine if tanan tao mag request ug fresh blood, wat will happen man sa katong mga naa sa blood pool? masayang lng d ba? naa pud bya tawn expiry ang dugo...(30 days d most) depende sa anticoagulant/preservative used. i hope this post of mine helped in any way possible. unta, mkasabot sad mo sa side sa blood bank. and also, i'm encouraging ppl to donate jud. and before ka mu-ingon na anemic/leukemic (even w/o doctor's diagnosis) ka dats y u cant donate blood, dnt worry, try lng ghapon ky naa mana steps to determine if qualified ba u or not. and if pasar ka sa first several steps, the physician in charge sa blood bank will perform physical exam man to mke sure if qualified jud ka to donate or not.

mga MODS, basin nahan mo mag MBD (mass blood donation) ang mga istoryans.... nindot sad na na outreach. suggestion lng. PM me lng aron ma-contact nko ang Red Cross para mka hatag sila letter of intent.

btw, dli ko bias about sa Red Cross ha. had it been the other way around, same pud akng buhaton sa RBCC. ako ipaglaban na nga mga blood centers. mwehehe mas close lng ko sa red cross ky kaila man nko ang physician in charge sa blood center-cebu chapter. and also, mas daghan pud ang ma-use sa inyo blood ky naa man sila machine para ma-separate ang blood components. (not sure sa RBCC if naa naba sila karon ky sauna whole blood rman ila). but still wherever mo gusto donate, go ahead. pro if mag mass blood donation ang istoryans, i would really recommend/strongly suggest jud nga sa Red Cross for the reasons stated above.
