I was very emotional the moment we went to the pet shop to buy her. I have always wanted to have a dog since birth yet my mom wont allow me. But since my 8 year old brother is a spoiled brat, he was granted to keep a dog, and so was I. I couldnt sleep the night before, when my step dad told me wer going to buy a dog. It could be just by chance, but i think we wer somehow destined to keep stacey. We wer eying for a female shih tzu, but all female in the litter were sold out the day before. Stacey was the only female pup left among all the dogs in the shop. She has 2 male siblings with her in the cage, and when we started to choose, she barked the loudest. She would chase around my finger obviously trying to impress me and it was as if she's trying to tell me to pick her. But i had no idea she was female coz she was bigger than her siblings. So i asked the care taker and found out she was female. With no 2nd thoughts, be brought her home. But even if she was a boy, i think i would still have chosen her. She connects with me a lot.

There's no single night that i can sleep well. Not bcoz she was noisy or anything, but because i want to make sure she was ok. I would check on her from time to time and it came to a point where she also cudnt sleep without me by her side. While im on my pc, she would lie close to me feet and make her self comfortable as she can. I was afraid i might step on her so i always end up putting her into sleep in my lap. At times that i am not home, she would cry and i have to put her to sleep before i can actually leave the house. My heart breaks everytime she howls. Summer was almost over and i wish i cud bring her with me here in Cebu. But i have no choice, i only rent a room and wer not allowed to keep pets. The time came when i have to go back for school, our helper would tell me that stacey's not eating well. I wasnt at peace neither. id ask my brother to let me see stacey on cam and ask him to send photos time to time.

Everytime i go to my hometown, she's always the first in my mind. I play with her and give her a bath before i get a rest from my long travel. Till now, she;s the same sweet dog i saw in the pet shop. I thought that during the months i was away for school, she would eventually forget me. But i was wrong, i was still her master, and she trusts me with all her heart, and i do the same. She would run around everytym she sees me but she wouldnt mind sitting on my lap for a whole day..

Sorry if i made this post too long. Its been 1 year, and im so amazed of how loyal my dog is. I only get to see her during long breaks, yet she never forgets me. Well, i think long distance relationship works for dogs too. Haha..
Growing up was tough for me, and life wasnt that easy. But stacey taught me one important thing, that despite everything ive been through, i am still capable of caring and loving someone. We have quite a number of dogs already, yet stacey remains my favorite and will always be. She celebrates with me on happy times, and condoles during my darkest hours. I love her as my pet, my friend, my family.
