What I also don't understand is, after the incident why didn't they cordone the area and cover the bus. They could have done this also after the embarrassing picture taking incidents that have made it to Chinese media and newspapers increasing the tension. Noynoy should have immediately cordoned the area if only to prevent more embarrassment and to show that he doesn't agree with the tactless people taking pictures, or had the bus immediately removed from the location. That's what a decisive and caring President would have done, instead there has been nothing but an escalation in bad feelings since that time. Even his press-con where he was seen smiling and his subsequent unbelievable apology has only added fuel to the hate coming towards our country. A President is supposed to make things better for his people, not worse right? I wonder how the domestic helpers in Hong Kong are going to cope with his bad handling of the situation.

Ning mando sa nahitabo ? Like PNOY really did ordered na kinahanglan na naay MEDIA COVERAGE ? I thought he is nowhere to be found ?

Anyways .... sa kadtong mga anti NOY2 pod ... who do you guys think could have handled it better ?

I also noticed , di ba kaha mga pics na ni circulate mga PHOTOSHOPPED na pictures ? Ngano everytime na naay pic , apil man jud ang naay tigkuha sa pic pod ? Same angle also ang pirme makuha ..

Anyways ... whjy is it still hard for people to understand that even if PNOY is the bottomline of all , yes we all know that becaus ehe is the commander in chief but you dont expect him to be there negotiating , operating , assaulting , placing and establishing safety perimeter etc maski semento pa na ang gi kordon ninyo layaton ra gihapon na sa mga CHISMOSO ug CHISMOSA . Point is , on top sa pag incompetent sa PNP , wala silay saktong training sa crowd control .

That is NOY2 fault right ?

Hard to say who could have handled it better, but imho it is not really relevant or helpful because the reality is Noynoy is the President, not those other people. Like in the U.S. people like to speculate if Al Gore would have handled Afghanistan better if he won instead of George Bush. Well, who knows and why does it matter? Al Gore isn't President, George Bush is! That's why people criticize him, not Al Gore. Similar here...

As to photoshop, in the absence of any evidence that it is, it must be presumed that these are genuine. The picture taker is in the picture, because somebody else took a photo of them doing the act, and that somebody was offended enough to take it and make them public.

I somewhat agree that President should not be on the ground as that is not befitting to his stature. But there are other issues.. the phone call from Donald Tsang being ignored and the subsequent denial that it ever took place, the smiling incident from his press-con, the poor handling of post-incident matters such as removal of the bus and/or cordoning of the area. Sometimes the President has to get his hands dirty and come down a level to prove he is in control. Even in China, the President himself visits areas of disaster and walks through the mud to show the people he is in control. Sometimes symbols can be powerful, that is what this President needs to understand otherwise he won't survive 6 years, I'm sure of it...
