personally i have never tried feeding my GSDs beef pro or water with dugos so i can't comment much on that...
that is very true! good point. a lot of people learn more about the breed once they have acquired a pup already but really, the better way to go about it is to learn more about the breed first, know what to expect and know what you want from the dog so that you will know what to look for when you select a pup. frustrations only come later when you realize your dog cannot meet your expectations. you need to know more about the breed first so that you can chose the right dog for you.
^^^^
That is a very common problem owners faces because the cute puppies they are indeed pleases us but the stage of life has to move on . They cant be cute forever , they are meant for working and when time comes that they need to work in trainings , if they have the personality of just being a " cute companion " or " inability to work due to training issues " , frustrations come in .
Of course , naay uban prefers the " pet or companion " outlook but time will come na ma realized that sayop na breed ang gi choose if that is the case of the purpose / goal . Remember that GSD's are not cheap , one should consider also the factors to successfully up the notch in raising , breeding , training and most of all handling the breed .
I know someone who imported a pair , was trained and graded pa gani sa title na Sch1 yet gi himong guard dog lang sa farm somewhere in the south . There was no consideration for the dogs in its purest sense becase GSD's are not guard dogs , these are herding and working dogs . yes , they are very expensive and the owner doesnt really care but if buhi pa si Max Emil Friedrich von Stephanitz , maduklan gyud to ang owner regardless of kinsa pa to siya .

well said. that is why it is very important that you already know what you are looking for before you buy a pup and never be in a rush. the right dog/pup will come.
