.........the problem with these comic characters, i mean the old ones....spiderman, superman and others....they keep on increasing their powers, to an extent that they become "impossible". The word impossible is applicable to comics since they are purely fiction but SOBRA RA KAU ILA POWERS. And murag OA na usahay......can't they just end a certain comics series, in that way the characters achieves immortality, in the sense that they don't become redundant..........sumo man gud kung cge lang sila increase ila power. Look at Dragon Ball Z, is was on it's pinnacle when the writers and producers decided to stop the story to maintain it's integrity, wala nila g lata.

dba DrE, am i making sense?? comics is your literature, but im sure there's a time when you feel that you're choking on too much of a certain comics.

You are trully correct fingolfin. You make perfect sense. they(the comic industry) are milking the characters to death.

While these old characters in comics dont usually "increase" powerwise(superman was de-powered so they could tell more "earthly" stories), the stories being told become redundant or similar to some story you have already read. Thats usually the problem these days. Dont get me wrong, there are some original and fresh writing once in a while but thats just like a "spur of the moment" being.

I mean look at Clark Kent today, he is no different 50 years ago. He is still a reporter for the Daily Planet. While his character has gone through some changes (married lois lane, died, resurected...etc) there is little to none that writers can offer new.

The only reason im sticking with it is because of the second tier characters. I mean to hell with their flagship characters. Batman is still a millionare and still fights crime, x men are still hated by humans but what about robin the boy wonder, or the inhumans, or the black panther?

These guys are second string characters that still can be made with fresh stories. The general public would still remember that Robin( batman's partner) was a child fighting crime with a brief as a costume.
What they dont know is that he has grown now and calls himself Nightwing fighting crime in Bludhaven, a city just above Gotham and is more corrupt and dangerous than batman's city. He had a fight with Batman so he went his own way. Now thats interesting.

Yeah. I think Batman is the only one who evolved, Bruce Wayne got old and hired some young dude to do his crime fighting. And all the others are just like damaged cd’s who keep on jumping/skipping to a certain track. It’s better if you kill a character, just like Tolkien, he killed most of his beloved characters, no hesitations at all. Look at the Gundam Wing series, it is now considered to be one of the best cartoon series of all time, but is it still in circulation or still in production?? NO. That’s why it’s so appealing to people, IT HAD AN ENDING……………

I totally agree with Ending comic stories. Me, not an avid comic book follower would only look at the interesting artwork, and not the stories.

why? I'm afraid I'm confused on the story, and the commitment to buy all the other issues.

But there is one comic that truly stood out for me. The Sandman. Neil Gaiman's ending to that comic just left me breathless and sympathetic....porr dream, he ha so much responsibility, he forgot the other individulas to whioch he owes much of his time.

too bad he isn't writing anymore for that series, it would be cool to see how Daniel runs things.

    uhmmm...who is Ultron again?

Marvel has recently printed the "THe End" comic. a sort of ending to the stories of comic characters like hulk, the punisher, xmen, wolverine and avengers.
