I had drinks with my friends last night. And LOVE has always been the staple of every drinking sessions, right? Then I became the hotseat since most of my friends are married and have gfs/bfs. They have all these conclusions that I'm too picky, too much of a workaholic and even too good -- all these reasons why I am still single.

What didn't sit well on me is the last remark,

"Bootan ra kaayo ka Bey. Ma-guilty magbinoang nimo ang laki nimo mao na dili nalang sila nimo."

"Pag minaldita lageh, tan-awa, dili ka buwi-an."

Ing-ana diay na? all the while I thought that's the usual benchmark for anyone if they are searching for their possible mates... At the back of my mind, I was asking who in the right mind would want for a really mean partner?

Or could I be wrong? what do you think guys? Are my friends right?

I don't know you personally... but IMO maybe pag tanaw sa chixs kay friend material lang ka or too easy to get... chixs are very used to that being pampered, getting away with stuff, men adoring her and ect... mixed it up while being you..

To give you a bit of the scenario here..

By nature, I am the cheerful type who wants
to get along with everyone I am with and when
I met my ex years ago, I learned from him that
he's had it with women who's so "maldita" and
at home he has an overbearing Mom whom he
doesn't get along with sometimes.

That's how I became the "bootan" gf coz I want
to be the best gf that he had been looking for and
I hate being in a fight with him coz it's so stressful.
All through out the relationship I was oblivious to
what I was turning myself into ~ a doormat and even
worse, a boring one (that's how I perceive lang ha)...

After the break up, it has always been a pattern that
when I meet someone, I end up in the friend zone coz
most of them would say, "bootan ra au... blah blah blah"
That's why I came up with this thread coz I was confused
LOLs

Anyway, I got over it and let things be. If they don't like
me for a gf, friend ra jud, then payts lang hehehe

One thing for sure, I won't be the doormat gf in the future
