usik-usik sa kwarta. nag himu palang na cla ug livelihood projects daghan pa malipay.
i don't mean to intrude with your discussions, pero when i asked about details, i wanted to see a link from a respectable source.
di kaayo ko salig sa mga copy + paste man gud.
... there you go. Judiel is the best example of using God as a tool for business. Millions has flocked to witness Judiel "Talking" to Mother Mary and a couple of years after, we are all shocked to learn that Judiel had undergone a ***-change and now has a bus-liner business... wwwwwwwwooooooooooo...... i guess i'll make my own hoax and use God to gain monetary freedom. Poor ol' God, always the scapegoat.
.. the reason some of us here are against this move of Father Suarez is it's damn illogical to erect such statue worthing, 400 M or 1B, it's such a waste. AND FOR WHAT ?? WHAT'S HIS REASON ??
its okay broi don't trust that source either... but since Mannyamador is so addicted to copy-pasting from the internet which he "WILL DIE TO PROTECT" the idea that its a "FACT". I just tried what he is good at doing.... but to my dismay, i don't like what i just did LOL!...
"STILL COMMON SENSE" IS WORTH MORE THAN YOU SEE ON EVERY NEWS, MAGAZINE AND ARTICLES ON THE NET.AND YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A GOOD INTERNET RESEARCHER TO DO IT...

Your "common sense" is just your unfounded opinion."STILL COMMON SENSE" IS WORTH MORE THAN YOU SEE ON EVERY NEWS, MAGAZINE AND ARTICLES ON THE NET
As we have seen, you even got your facts WRONG from the very beginning. Your common sense isn't credible. It's not worth the hot air from your rearend. You're just using it as en excuse to cover up for your IRRESPONSIBLE IGNORANCE.
Once you have the facts, make your judgement. If the facts say Fr. Suarez is wrong, then go for it. But if you have NOTHING but hearsay, don't be irresponsible.
THE LESSON TO BE LEARNED IS SIMPLE: GET THE FACTS FIRST. DON'T JUDGE SOMEONE BASED ON HEARSAY!
Even children can understand that. But I guess you have to really grow up.
@crinkle
There are a number of news articles on this issue. Most of the ones I have seen are from the Inquirer. Some of these are critical of Fr. Suarez (for example, bishop Cruz forbade him to have healing masses in his diocese). There are also some materials from GMA 7 and ABS-CBN. Some have been posted on this thread. I think these are far better than the so-called "common sense" opinions of some immature posters on this thread. Will these do?

Ever wondered who actually donates to this guy? (I'm assuming the funds come from donations.) See, if these people really know and want to spend millions for a statue, isn't that their business? But, and this is a big BUT, if the people who donate have no idea how it will be spent, then it's another story.
Fr. Suarez's Montemaria project seems to be well publicized. That's why I don't understand why some people simply refuse to get the facts first before attacking it.
Nobody becomes a priest w/o being first fed by the food of the Roman catholic church's culture and tradition in a good part of his learning life. Thus, when one is ordain as a priest, he represents the church that nurtured him: he is who they are. A fig tree won't bear an olive fruit.
He basically expresses what everybody else inside the walls of the Roman Catholic church is thinking: MONEY. Another clear-cut reason why churches should be taxed coz the RC church is not alone in the business.
