Talking Anyone up for herb/plant swapping?

Agoroy, I really enjoyed looking at your pics!! I'm like you, i recycle a lot of containers here at home. Sayanga sa imuhang mushroom thing oi. I also grew oyster mushrooms a few years back. Ako mom flew in from Manila, just to set the dark and humid room up. Grabe na ko ka favorite ang mushroom. I can eat it everyday, hehe. I had like 100 mushroom bags before and we used it sa restaurant namo. After a few months, wala na siya nag produce-- wala na pud ko nag replenish. Sayang biya. It was good while it lasted. Wa jud ko gigutom those days. hehe! Bilib ko nimo that naka produce gyud ka from scratch.

Bitaw, you can get mushroom spores from the ones they sell in the grocery? Huwaaaaw!

    ----

wow cdburgh! It's nice to know that men are into herb gardening too. I love cooking that's why I started to grow culinary herbs, veggies and some medicinal plants.

I lost a couple of herbs (died due to the heat), while I was out of town for more than a month. Nobody really took care of my plants as seriously as I did. huhuhu! It's sad knowing you waited for weeks for your seed to grow-- then suddenly, gone. I was able to save my tarragon--- 95% dying na gyud. It had dried leaves already but I continued to water it lang. So happy it grew 4 baby leaves na. I hope it survives!

Want to do a plant swap?

Totally dried out and gone forever na ang ako dill, fennel, thyme and marjoram. I only had 1 of each man gud and I'm looking for some new ones to take care of again.

I have 3 kinds of basil (sweet, thai and lemon), 3 kinds of mints, Italian oregano (small leaf), chives, rosemary, lavender, 2 kinds of gotu kola, citronella, wormwood/artemisa and a couple more others.

I just planted from scratch turmeric, cherry tomatoes, thyme, broccoli and lettuce. Love the feeling when seeds start to sprout!

I'm so excited. I just ordered a sack of vermiculture compost. I can't wait for sunlight tomorrow so I can tend to my plants!! I'll try to take photos.

Would like to hear tips from the green thumb experts. I just started planting a few months ago and I have a lot to learn.
    Cheers everyone and happy planting!

i am new to gardening, well never had interest in gardening until the rotten tomatoes that i placed in a raised bed sprouted. i never expected that it will sprout because i just left it there and did nothing, water kung makahinumdum hehehe. it is just amazing to watch something grow day by day. it inspired me. it's been 2 months since i started gardening and i am loving it.

oh yeah, taking care of herbs takes effort and TLC. i know it can be painful seeing your plant die or even be away for some time. mag worry gyud ka sa imong plants. i have a sweet basil that i call "i will survive" hahaha naputol sya pag ship and it's now in my ICU (hehehe) at first it's showing sign of life but it seems dying now. challenge kaayo resuscitating it. happiness gyud if mo-survive hehehe

sure we can have swap plants pero i still have a few plants and i need to propagate pa. hopefully my parsley and my wife's dill seeds will sprout. ka-sayang sa imo mga herbs that were just left unattended to die.
where do you get your vermi compost? my pepper and tomato seeds germinate faster on vermi compost. i have a small pail that i use for vermi composting. i am becoming an obsessive gardener kay lipay kaayo ko to see my worms grow bigger hehehe

please post pictures of your plants.
