    Pilgrimage - Hajj

    Hajj is a worship act. It means to visit the holy house of Allah in Mecca at a certain period of time - in the month of Dhil-hajj and complete certain rituals according to the Islamic Laws.

    WHO HAS TO HAVE HAJJ
    One who has the following qualifications must necessarily visit the house of Allah and complete hajj rituals:

    4. AND HAVE THE REQUIRED ABILITY which consists of:
    Financial ability and opportunity for traveling to Mecca which in turn consists of the following factors:-
    ( a ) Physical ability; thus, a person suffering from illness or a weak one because of old age has no hajj obligation.
    ( b ) There must be enough time to go there and complete the prescribed hajj rituals within their due time:

    O bai, Muslim Revert ko. I came accros this thread searching for Cebu Muslims. And I felt sorry that my religion was being maligned, attacked and Islamic teachings were presented in a way that is to discredit authentic Islam by associating it to people who claimed they are Muslims yet they are not practicing Islam. It is incumbent upon me as a Muslim to rectify their misrepresentations as much as my knowledge of Islam can offer.

    Yes but see the thing is many muslims are very sensitive of perceived insult to their religion. So it's only fair to also expect nothing but the utmost respect from muslims for other religion in return. If a term, has potential to make people feel insulted, then it should not be used period. Otherwise, sensitivity to insulting religion is a one way street that benefits only muslims and not others.

    What I said is very simple, if you demand respect, you must give it in return. The problem I think is that muslims are overly sensitive about their religion being insulted but have no problem insulting other religions and/or don't care when it happens as long as it's not their religion.

    Next, maligning and attacking religious teachings, institutions and leaders are par for course in a democratic country. This is what muslims can never understand. Catholic church, teachings and priests are criticized all the time in all forums not only by non-catholics but by catholics themselves and the priests can't do anything about it. If we don't allow this, then we are already sacrificing our freedom.

    Dili man siguro bro if they only understand. Ingon ini man gud ni bro, Muslims believed that Islam is the natural birthright of a person as Allah said in the Qur'an;

    "Those whom ye worship beside Him are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers. Allah hath revealed no sanction for them. The decision rests with Allah only, Who hath commanded you that ye worship none save Him. This is the right religion, but most men know not." Qur'an 12:40

    and in the other verse Allah said;

    "The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His will): nor did the people of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of Allah Allah is swift in calling to account." Qur'an 3:19

    So by calling us Revert Muslims(people from other religions who embraced Islam) we are just claiming our natural birthright.
