i don't want to make an impression that i am against fraternities and sororities because i am not. i am for brotherhood and unity. and yes, i am against the abolitions of frats and sor because i believe it is near impossible to do such.

it is springfield's decision on how he would answer my question---and be specific at that. i would suggest that he bring it out in the public so we would at least know how initiation rites in his fraternity is done.

no i'm not. i even gave TWO DIFFERENT definitions of hazing and initiation rites. that if i wasn't dreaming at all. pukawa lang ko kung nagdamgo ra ko.

we actually have an anti-hazing law... then, was it effective.. well, there goes another law that is futile. abolition of fraternities and sororities... well, they could always make such law, but would they be successful in implementing it. tsk tsk tsk

some passe traditions cant just immediately disappear from the frat culture especially if these are well-ingrained in their norms, it will take time, and best we can do is aid them in their transition, the more you say no to it, the more it is going to manifest..So rather than talking too much about hazing, better talk about alternatives like adventure education, mental exams nga dili hazing

Fraternities can take away hazing easily by just simply reviewing the Initiation Rites particularly on the part of hazing. As a matter of fact Thadz, they can easily do so because our laws and the laws of other countries disallow it. So why still keep an illegal activity, and what for? Most frats have been saying, espousing/advocating respect for law and persons. While the mouth says these things, the hands are doing another...I think hypocrisy is just too light to describe it -- it's simply deception.

I know, but its not that as simple an issue to many, kumbaga they probably need social preparation and really need to open their minds to admitting that hazing is passe..btw, sa thursday sa Maayong Buntag Kapamilya kay about frats ang topic so tune in nya mo
