i took it with a grain of salt, mind you. i didnt entirely agree to how he depicted Philippines in his video, i know it's unfair to say nga Philippines kay that would mean as a whole ingon ana gyud tanan, but this is not a detailed documentary nga i would expect him to say in detail kng asa ning lugara niya naencounter. had this been a national geographic or discovery channel segment, i would paint their website in red, but given that this is more like a home video, and not even known, i wasnt being technical about the whole thing. i appreciated the info bcoz you and i both know those things happen in the Philippines, not in the ENTIRE country but they exist, so that's how i took the video, i dint take it to heart nga murag pangworld class na gyud ang iyang level nga what he says will be heard and believed by the whole round earth. mura ra ug naghimo siyag movie for fun, dili mn siguro siya magsulti ug f*ck didto kng serious siya.

i know where you're coming from that yo consider it disrespectful kay lagi host country ang philippines and he was just a visitor, but there's nothing in the world nga makapugos niya to say otherwise. that's his opinion, then let's take it as such, it's not absolutely correct or true. mao siguro gnhan kaayo ang mga papansin manaut ug pinoy kay dali kaayo ta mutake offense. so kng naay usa ka taw nga gnahan musikat, kng dauton niya ang pilipinas, mainstant celebrity gyud.

1. He approached him to SHOW people what kinds of business people have to resort to in order to make money. He didn't say anything about how he does in bed.

2. He didn't think it was sanitary = he didn't eat there; he doesn't eat there.

3. He was referring to how a majority of Filipinos today invest in whitening products under the assumption that beauty means being white, which in reality, is a distorted perception of beauty.

4. That's true; but no one ever does. If you grow up getting used to plastic bags for everything, you eventually don't mind or don't notice where you end up throwing them. The whole idea that they manufacture these itty bitty little plastic bags is just a waste.

5. He didn't go up there and get his body "caressed". He was demonstrating how many guards don't know how to properly frisk or check bags. Guards do undergo training, but that doesn't mean they always implement what they've learned correctly. Think back to the SM shootings. The chance of avoiding that would've increased dramatically if the guards were more thorough.

6. Some packaged like that, some aren't. It's a waste of time and money to buy tiny, thin pieces or buy large packages and cut them down. People are just going to use more of them. Napkins are for dealing with messy food, period.

7. He didn't say anything about taking the roosters from you. -____-

8. Not everyone who plays ridiculously loud music is celebrating the fiesta, and not all Filipinos enjoy hearing it especially late at night when they're busy or trying to sleep. And, you don't choose your neighbors. Even high-end neighborhoods have their share of people who like to play their music really loud.

9. Roaches are disgusting, no matter where you go. This is about being sanitary, not about roaches. Roaches hang around places where food and waste is improperly disposed of.

10. I don't think you're hot.

11. Again, the whole idea of being sanitary is the point here. Not all places provide clean toilets. And when you're extremely desperate, you have to use the closest thing you've got. It's about providing clean and safe areas for people to do their business.

12. Customer service means efficiently catering to the needs of customers. You don't serve drinks warm, unless they're supposed to be warm. Duh. If the beverage happens to be warm, it's the employee's responsibility to put ice in it or find another bottle or whatever that's cold.

It's funny how it's totally okay for Filipinos to whine about the defects of their own country, yet when it comes out of a foreigner's mouth, they get all butthurt about it?

This is the reality. You either help fix it, or bite your tongue. Hypocrisy and ignorance aren't a part of the options.

It's sort of a niche group courtesy, bro. Same reason you can't call a Black man a n****r unless you're also black; you can't call a gay man a f****t unless you're also gay; you can't call a woman a b***h (and not get slapped) unless you're a woman; and so on.

I'm a girl. I do understand that, but I don't think it's a big enough excuse in this case. I'm American and Filipino, and I'm lucky to see from both sides of the situation. Those are all derogatory terms directly aimed at the people themselves, and at are much much more judgmental than people can assume of the guy in the video. He was talking about some of the issues (no matter how small or big) in Philippine society that need attention. He wasn't aiming straight the Filipinos themselves, since that would mean racism. Btw it's n***a, not er. If it ends in er, it's always discriminatory no matter who uses it. Just saying.
