i just did 10k @ abellana this morning.
i'm having issues with my stride. i really want to achieve longer strides. i just can't seem to open my legs that much.
what about u guys, do u have problems with form?

Holiday Spa to hold health run this Sunday

AFTER a brief lull, running enthusiasts in Cebu hit the roads again for the First Holiday Gym and Spa Health Run this Sunday.

Race director Raffy Uytiepo said the race was staged to promote physical fitness awareness for a healthy community.

Uytiepo said that Cebu’s top runners like Leszl Gitaruelas and Mendel Lopez are joining the race. Both finished at top ten in the Hong Kong Marathon last month, while Gitareuelas won all the races she joined last year.

Joining them are the Del Poso brothers, Eugene and Joel from the University of Southern Philippines. The brothers were the top finishers at the Sinulog Half Marathon last January.

Run for your Heart top finishers Mary Jane Beboso and Katie Fischer, national triathlon record holder Nonoy Jopson and national karate champion Dahlia Espinosa will also be in the race.

Also running are 2007 University Run champion Reiz Enriquez also of USP, 2006 Cebu Milo regional elimination race third finisher Philip Dueñas of SWU, television news personality Haide Acuña, Milet Chiongbian, Cebu Executives Runners Club president Jesse Taborada, Dr. Vic Verallo, Cebu City councilor Edgar Labella.

Uytiepo said that the event, which will start and finish at Holiday Gym in Banilad, is open to all runners.

The race will be divided into the 10K and 5K categories. The top three winners of the 10K category will get P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively. The top three runners of the 5K categories will get P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000, respectively.

Uytiepo said they are expecting from 300 to 500 runners on Sunday’s race.

“We have to limit the race to 500 runners to have quality of the race and since more of the elite runners are joining” said Uytiepo.

Registration is pegged at P150 inclusive of t-shirt and certificate and participants may register at the Holiday Gym & Spa in Banilad and at the Philippine Sport Commission at the Cebu City Sports Center. (sunstar.com)

good luck to all runners who will join the fun run tomorrow. I can't join as my right foor big toe got swollen after i jogged last weekend...next frun run na lang..
