rating means crew with no ranks yet ( deck cadet, able-bodied seaman, ordinary seaman, apprenticemate, bosun, messman, general purpose

ang deck officer ( with rank )

Captain - 3,500 - 12,000 u.s. dollar
Chief Mate - 2,500 - 7,000
OIC - 1,500 - 6,000

Note: Salary depends on the Shipping Company ( Direct Employment from
principal offers best salary). There are also manning agency here in the
Philippines who offers good compensation.

What I quote is for Marine Deck Officer, but it is almost the same with

naa dghan bro, demand na permi ang marine engineering, tungod sa kadghan barko gpanghimo abroad... if nag eskwela pa lng ka dghan na ky na company mag anha especially sa uc-metc, nga norwegian shipowners ky mag conduct ug exam for cadets, ang style lng dli lng gyud mag tapol2x, exam gyud, libre btaw, atleast if pasar ky, dli nka mag hago2x pangapply ug company inig graduate nimo. . .
