Cool!!! I think everyone must know the facts specially when it comes to our health. Believing with the fallacies may cause much problem.
I would suggest that everyone should read this..

nice information from the T.S and other contributors of this thread. Great timing though as I have been thinking how to start being fit. I still have doubts on what kind of exercises since it's been 4 months that i got an open chole surgery(caused by gallstones). It's true about fats. During my "pain days" I avoided eating fatty foods and being careful on my food intake. My doctor told me to eat at leas 6-8 times a day but to be careful that the food i take doesn't have oil in it. Or sometimes put myself in a bland diet or just water to ease the pain. Amazing i lost a bit of weight and not having double chin( especially akong face mura na ug bola ka lingin). Now on my 5th month recuperating, I am somehow worried (kay happy ko nga ning gamay ko after the operation) nga nanambok na pud ko. So I was thinking of working out without straining myself since the 12 inch scar on my lower right rib cage (never-mind the 2 punch holes caused by the tubes inserted) is still fragile even if my doctor told me na ok na. It's good i decided to visit the "fitness and health forum".

I heard that sleeping also burns calories rather than being a couch potato. And also patronizing cold water (with matching ice pa gani ang uban) causes you nga "manambok", if possible lukewarm water lng jud daw especially after meals. And yeah soft drinks has so much calories. My surgeon told me that don't believe on those info about diet or fat free kay di jud daw na tinuod. It's just a way of selling their products for those diet conscious
