I think those two zombies by Michonne are just for transport purposes. Walkers are keen on sight too, thats why Glenn and Rick acted like a walkers in Season 1. If she wants camouflage then she can cover herself up in walker's parts just like what Glenn and Rick did in Season 1.

it was explained in the comics. She had them because it decreased the chance of other walkers spotting her.

If I remember it right... (kai dugai naman ko naka basa sa comics..) para dili siya ma trace sa zombies through smell... nangutana man to si rick... although if do-ul siya sa zombie ma smell siya... but after niya mo agi.. zombie smell ang mabilin... walay trace...

ambot lang if eh pakita pud to nila ang mga group of zombies nga mag tapok.. sabay ug lakaw... like hundreds of them mag cross states... katu maoy kuyaw...

Oh yeah, I think the term is Herd.
It was said that walkers can hear a single gunshot for miles.
It doesn't matter how far it is, they just walk until they get there.
Then poof, you got a Herd of zombies at yer backyard.
